I heard someone say today that Bremen hasn't started training yet.

You have to get out of the mindset of “if someone gets infected everything stops” or “we can’t do anything if there’s a risk someone will get infected.”

People will continue to get infected by this thing for decades, maybe forever. It’s all about mitigation. Do you feel comfortable with your numbers and protocols that the likelihood of a mass outbreak amongst your league and players is extremely slim? That’s the question.

Not, can we guarantee no one associated with the league will get it?

physios

Well I’ve known quite a few “physios” working with actual people with covid and they’ve all managed to do ok.

I’m sure the ones working with the elite athletes who could potentially get covid from playing in some soccer matches are probably cool with it as well.

Because a bunch of guys in their 20s and early 30s who are amongst the fittest athletes on earth are playing soccer without crowds? I fail to see how this could be bad. It’s actually incredible news.

If you’re a Werder Bremen fan who wants to avoid relegation it definitely could be bad

Good on the Bundesliga for being pioneers and leading the way again.

So I was browsing ahead to set my DVR for the upcoming Bundesliga games and much to my annoyance as of now they're all listed on Fox Sports Soccer Plus on Cox Cable New Orleans I mean what the frick? I don't get Fox Sports Soccer its part of some obscure tier of channels. Plus why can't they put them on FS1 or FS2? There sure as shite nothing else worth a crap to air on those 2 channels rn.

They probably haven't decided what to do with them yet.

Have they announced any special rules? Just saw that FIFA approved allowing leagues to use 5 subs.

Does anyone know what kind of production we will get with ESPN+ winning the rights to Bundesliga next season? I haven’t really been able to find any info.

Is it expected to be the same sort of product as Serie A & eredivisie? Where it’s just commentators doing games from a studio stateside, or will they have on-site commentators, and some sort of weekly show like Premier League Mornings on nbc? I imagine they are going to go the cheapest route possible, but hoping for something better. If they go the cheap route I just hope they don’t have Matteo Bonnetti calling German games too. He fricking sucks.

I don't think they've announced anything yet. The shutdown probably put everything on hold.

Makes sense. If they do go the remote announcer option it’s still hard to complain assuming they will put up every single match, and have replays available pretty much immediately, like they do with Serie A & Eredivisie.

This is the same company that had Michael Strahan explain soccer to fans.

No doubt fox sports is lacking in the soccer dept but before the shut down they would regularly show BuLi games on FS1 and FS2 on Friday Saturday and Sunday. Only thing i figure is that its a money grab to get people to subscribe to FS Soccer Plus (14.99 /mo on cox cable) or make people subscribe to their mobile app FSGO and get you to pay there.
