This guy must be the most polarizing character for a locker room ever, and that’s steep considering Zlatan is still at it.

I think he’s very different. Players are probably very jealous that a guy who has mailed it in for a decade is so damn talented and good at something that people care about immensely and train for hours every day to be 1/3 as good as him.

But Bale seems like a very relaxed, if aloof, and polite person.

Well, looks like I’ll need to drive up and watch a match now.

100% the reason he's coming to MLS. He'll not only have those, but every course in away trips as well. I doubt he'll even train during road games, instead he will be at Craig Ranch while the rest of team does drills at the FC Dallas complex.

So, is he just playing through the end of this season? If so, MLS being on a different schedule than the rest of the world is why he picked it. Season ends early November. Then he immediately goes to the world cup and then retires.

I really thought this guy would be the next superstar. Servicable career, but disappointing to say the least.

He had the option to be great, to be rich, or to be both. Sadly he chose to just be rich!

Uh what? He has been one of the better players in the world for most of the last decade maybe decade and a half, just because he isn’t Messi doesn’t mean his career was disappointing.
