Nasri could do some damage against Maxwell.

Yeah, Maxwell isn't exactly an elite LB. I'd rather Arshavin on the right though, because Alves will look to get forward in a big way.

Barca is going to attempt to get an early goal for sure. I am much more comfortable with Nasri on the left. Alves needs to be neutralized and Arshavin does not have the pace. I am feeling really good about our chances.

He is lucky because we have many players like him in the second team with us but it is simple to play with Arsenal because they have time and have no pressure to win titles as quick as possible.

Pep on Wilshere/Arsenal.

hopefully that rakes over our coals. not a very tactful thing to say on the eve of a match.

as always, a very informative and succinct preview on ZM about this match

Wow. Wilshere is probably a lot better than anyone they have in their second team at the deep-lying playmaker. It's usually a position that older players occupy because of the speed of the game and the limited amount of space.

I don't know what Pep means about the pressure to win titles though. That is patently false. Barcelona is a bigger club than Arsenal, and internationally Arsenal are still developing, so in that sense they (Barcelona) have more pressure. It's definitely not the case that we have no pressure though.

I thought it was a rather odd pre-match comment as well. Its an odd comment in any context. First time Pep has taken a shot at Arsenal. Maybe the 2-1 result and the Toral Harper signing got under his skin some. Or maybe it was his pain meds talking.

My tweet on the issue seemed to be popular so I'll post it here haha:

If Barca has "many" young talents on par with Wilshere, why is Barca B 12 points off the pace in Segunda Division?

Why thank you, sir. That lead me to being RT'd at least 40 times by random people across the world. Someone even apparently RT'd me into Japanese.

I can't believe RvP is starting today...I'm both pleased and worried.

So....who else is looking forward to St. Totteringham's Day? That might be all we have to look forward to...

We need a win Saturday or I'm going to fall into an even deeper state of fan-depression.

Cesc's tweet was nice. Guessing he won't be available for Saturday. Maybe Wenger has learned his lesson and will play Nasri centrally. Nah, probably not.

I don't mind him out on the left at all, so long as Cesc plays up to his normal standards in the center and Rosicky isn't playing, but rather Arshavin on one side.

Yeah, that statement was based on the assumption Fab is out Saturday.

So is it the same injury and we just rushed him back?

Yep, like I suspected. If Chesney is out for the rest of the season, and we're left with Almunia in goal, then we might be well and truly fricked.

you of all people know this depends. Hopefully his off games we actually score some goals. He's good for 2.5 horrid matches for every great match.

It does, but I'm not confident we can score without everyone healthy. Not only that, we usually play like shite after a mid-week Europe game, so we'll see what happens.
