We are a Johnny-come-lately to the international scene, but are you really surprised that there are so many Arsenal fans? Arsenal plays in the most visible European league for most Americans, and attempt to play the most attractive style of football. It's really no surprise.

'Tis not a game thread, sir. 'Tis a season thread.

And you're right, we've only been to one CL final and we very easily could have won it despite the fact it was 10v11 in favor of your team for nearly the entire match.

Any cup competition is nearly equal parts luck and talent. One of these days we'll get the luck part down.

If you go through the thread, it's the same four or five posters talking. We just love our team.

yeah, most of my contributions are my combination passes from twitter, off my right handboot, to the readers of this thread who slot home literacy points. it's a fluid, team-friendly passing strategy that everyone can enjoy.

Arsene admitted at the shareholders meeting that he is under pressure from some of the new additions (Gazidis and Kroenke) and that an American pre-season tour is likely!

At what point does Clichy get dropped in favor of Gibbs? I love his attacking prowess, but he has been on a steady decline since 06/07 when he was the best LB in the PL and arguably the world.

this article suggests that clichy had a pretty decent game, and that nasri and arshavin not doing much defensively was an open invitation to exploit space in front of clichy. it's encouraging to see that he didn't let one cross in past the 18.

I think his child will probably spend an extra two months in the womb. gestation betwixt a demigod and a human usually takes longer in order to fully form their mystical abilities
