just watched the game so sorry for the late responses but...

1) AOC - the only good thing to happen today, but was he flatfooted and not anticipating any passes or was everyone's passing to him terrible?

2) walcott - AOC showed him how he should play. only thing he was good for was breaking this dudes ankle...

3) djourou - need to learn how to NOT clear the ball to the middle. that crap is taught to 6 year olds. he also needs to close space. he was covering NO ONE for the first goal.

4) HOW THE HELL THE RVP MISS THAT?

5) Rooney is a huge puss and has been such since the hairplugs. he has ZERO bookings all season. even RVP has 4. hell even Szczesny has 2.

6) Wenger - we cannot play this formation without fullbacks like sagna that are willing to go up and down the flanks and put in crosses. made a huge difference with TV5 willing to move up and down and even when Nico got in moved up to give some help. SIGN A FULLBACK.

7) THE RUSSIAN HAS TO GO. HE IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF SPACE AND SHOULD NEVER SEE THE FIELD AGAIN. I WOULD RATHER PLAY A MAN DOWN THEN WITH HIM ON THE PITCH.

So what's the format of the Europa League--group and knockout?

Hey, at least we'll have a chance to snap our trophy drought.

I'm glad this was in all caps, but could you make it bold for more emphasis?

ETA: Completely serious.

I honestly don't watch as much soccer as I should, so I'm just going to ask: Can someone, calmly, tell me why there is so much hate for Arshavin? For the record, I thought him coming into the match for Ox was a terrible substitution.

I did. But it was one game. What are his characteristics that you guys despise?

Losing the ball after every first touch, inability to defend or recover the ball after losing it, doesn't make up for it by being in the right place at the right time, doesn't bring some absurd free kick specialty to make up for it.

I'm sure some other could explain this better but he's by far my least favorite Arsenal player.

All of this, plus it just seems like he doesn't give a shite out there. Maybe it's just because he is just a goofy dude, but I feel like it appears that his head is already back in Russia.

In his defense, Arsene hasn't exactly put him in a position to succeed. He shouldn't be given the defensive responsibilities he is. I've always been a supporter of his until recently, but its clear he has to move on. If for no other reason than he's been scapegoated.

In addition, when he has possession of the ball... he dribbles with his head down. Every time he touches the ball, he's only looking at the ball... and then when he's not passing to the other team or losing it off his first touch, he just barges through defenders like a bull and gets the ball taken away... If he happens to have a chance to take a shot on goal, the keeper laughs and calls him Ray Finkle. Arshavin doesn't speak English well enough to scream, "Laces out, Dan!"

I don't like to criticize players too often, especially ones that have really contributed in the past like Arshavin has... but I see no reason to put him in for the rest of the season.

it wasn't one game. it has been countless games.

the single most thing that is wrong with this guy is that he is wasting his talent. everyone has seen the talent that he has, but he is so damn lazy and doesn't give 100%. if he would try and suck i wouldn't be so against him. it is the fact that he doesn't give a flying f about the game.

His defensive deficiencies run parallel with our lack of true fullbacks. That's no excuse for his work going forward, though.

Does Mike Dean have his hand on Nico's shoulder? That looks a little sketchy.

Sad we missed out on a chance for Martin Tyler to say "ARSHAAAVIIIIIN!" again.

I listened to the Arsenal Review USA podcast (post-Leeds edition) with Sanderson on it. He said AA's perception in Russia has lowered his price. Apparently he's seen as the reason why Arsenal are struggling so much and Russian clubs are wary to offer much for him. Looks like we'll have to bite the bullet in the summer unless he steps it up some.

Thought Yennaris played very well. Nani didn't do shite in the 2nd half. Yennaris played in a couple of good balls as well.
