We still have the most in form striker on the planet and the possibility of a poorly called penalty in our favor........

Cant even hate. Bona fide Zinger right there

Edit: not sure why autocorrect capitalized Zinger. Must have juggernaut LSU TE Keith Zinger in its memory banks.

Fairly candid interview with Wenger. Admits not qualifying for the CL would be a disaster. Doesn't agree that Arsenal are screwing their fans over by not buying, even though they have the resources. Seems to say he didn't buy a LB because TV5's been close to coming back and he doesn't think he can sign a better LB than TV5.

Others have said it, but it sure seems like Wenger is someone where if you tell him he *has* to do something, he won't just to try and prove you wrong. Hopefully that gamble doesn't blow up in our faces this time around because it damn well might.

Looking at our remaining schedule, I'm optimistic that we'll get into the top four.

1. We have Bolton and Blackburn coming up next in the EPL to right the ship.
2. We have Newcastle, City, Chelsea, and Spurs at home. Liverpool is the only Top 7 team we play away.
3. We play Wigan, West Brom, Wolves, and QPR all in our last 8 games. I think Norwich and Stoke will be sliding then too.

I think Chelsea, Liverpool, and Newcastle fans feel as bad about their chances for the top four as we do. I'm also not convinced that Spurs can keep up the pace. They have a run of Liverpool-Newcastle-Arsenal-ManU-Everton-Stoke-Chelsea from Feb 6 to March 24.

No reason for optimism right now. Haven't shown an ability to beat anyone lately. I think Spurs have staying power. They'll finish 3rd. Chelsea 4th.

Plus we're on the precipice of February, Arsenal's yearly Kristallnacht.

I feel like I have good instincts about our chances year in and year out. At this point I'm not optimistic at all about finishing top 4, or at least, not based on our own abilities. If we manage to finish 4th it will be because Chelsea slips even more than us.

The OX should have stayed on, obviously. Frustrating match, again. Not that we had great expectations going into this game.

Yep. More scoring chances, less goals. Go figure.

Apparently Ox had cramps, which is the only reason I can think of for why he was taken off. I would have rather seen Benayoun than Park or Arshavin.

I heard about that earlier. I'm not getting my hopes up, but that would be a very nice surprise.

Ox cramping up is likely better than the shite Arshavin has been showing on the pitch.
