I love this shite. The twitter feed from Spain about Hazard is a fake twitter account and Honda is in London to have a minor knee injury looked at. This is like Christmas for any footie fan. Strap in gents gonna be a long and crazy day.

Well Bendtner might end up at Stoke, or he might stay.

Honda's agent says that he isn't in England. He is with Intl Team in Japan.

I relaly hope Arsenal gets Clint. I think he would be a great addition to give a spark to the Gunners. He wouldn't even need to start immediatly. Arsenal seems to be making some really good moves this transfer. I am excited

The missing piece to the puzzle is still a distributing midfielder to replace Cesc. Right now the only ones on the roster are Ramsey, Wilshere, and Rosicky (I haven't seen enough of Lansbury, but he might belong on that list too). Marvin Martin is the realistic option to fill that void.

More news on the Arteta to Arsenal line - the clubs are currently haggling over a fee according to Oliver Kay at The Times. Arsenal have bid £10m - Everton want more. Would you be happy with that one Gunners fans?

That is COMPLETELY opposite Wenger's buying theory.

It is, but apparently we bid something like 4 million yesterday. Arteta isn't worth any more than 10.

We've apparently shipped out something like 20 players this summer. We still have 30 million from the sales this summer we've yet to spend. It'd be nice if we got two midfielders and a winger.

I don't know how this is different from the earlier bid, but this was just posted.

Why even get him? Way too old to pay 10M for.

ETA Mertesacker is HUGE. He will help tremendously on set pieces.

He's a good player who can recycle possession and do defensive work. He's realistically worth around 5, but deadline day plus our desperation means we're paying more for him. His age is actually a plus because he won't "kill" any of Wenger's projects, in particular Aaron Ramsey. Everton should be happy with something like 7. 10m is basically rape.

Arsene's throwing money at the wall hoping it sticks.

Hmm. Just hard to believe there isn't a better deal out there. Thats 10M down the drain with no resale value. Arsenal need him though.

We still have something like 30M to spend before we even touch the transfer war chest, which is upwards of 100 mil. He's overpriced, but we need a player like him.
