Anxiously awaiting news of the arrival of 16 year old to replace him...
Man my fav two players gone. Next it will be RVP. Im curious as to what they will do with the money because I have no faith of a big splash. We cant keep up when you have teams like City buying everybody.
I heard something about Kaka, has that been debunked yet? Would be something.

kaka probably won't happen bc of wages. On the positive side Hazard, Martin, Y'Villa, and Jagielka are all possibilities

It really is a must now. No excuses. Who do you want?

I think you need to be prepared for a let down. We aren't going to get a big name at this point. I move I would have loved 3 years ago, buying Jagielka and Arteta from cash-strapped Everton, is probably our most realistic move. Hazard ain't happening. At least not this fall. Hopefully we can stay somewhat in the race and maybe a big name will become available in January.

That is unfortunate. I wan't Arsenal in the top 4. They belong there.

I am prepared for that. I want some elation when something surprising happens. I am a dreamer, let me dream.

Not a bad guy to replace Cesc with though.

Agreed. Slow, terrible on defense and often injured. Sounds just like him. I'll call him Fabby Lite.

Like I said, I would have loved Arteta about 3 years ago, but he has been more injury prone in recent years. I just threw his name out there because he's been linked to us in the past, and we could likely pay enough to get Everton to sell. It just doesn't seem like any of these other targets want to come enough to force their teams into a deal.

I like Arteta as a player. And completely agree about 2 or 3 years ago. I think a positive result from todays match is crucial.

Young Guns tweeted that Nasri is making £200k a week at MCFC. Is that for real?!?!? That's incredible. How can we compete with that when they have probably 10 guys that make more than our highest paid player?

Also, yes. Today's match is one of the bigger matches of Wenger's career. Not making the knockout round would be an unmitigated disaster.

It is obvious that we can't. MCFC make Real Madrid look like misers.

"How does it feel to be a Manchester City player?"
prior to 2 years ago, who would have ever thought that question would be received in a positive way for a player??
frick them and their $$

Arteta's living on his reputation at this point. He had some very nice years but even when he's been healthy the last two seasons he hasn't looked very good to me. Definitely not consistent. Some of that I'm sure could be blamed on the injury problems but I think that would be a bad buy at this point unless he was pretty cheap.

I thought this article was interesting.

It is unfair because I think we have more merit as a club than those who have built their teams with millions of pounds whereas Arsenal have brought in young footballers who have come here to play a certain kind of football and who have developed."

Our apparent pursuit of M'Vila is interesting to me. Doesn't seem a high priority position, but I'm all for it if it doesn't prohibit us from getting a defender and playmaker. Reportedly offering 22 mil pounds.

I'd change my mind on about anything if I was getting paid 200k a week.
