quote:yeah I said it a few pages back but Timber is absolutely dreadful for our attack. And now his defense is slipping too. This team is crying out for the White-Ø-Saka right side again. Not to mention that we’re starting two mainly defensive fbs against the worst team in the league??
Timber was shambolic the last bit of the game. Think I counted 4 times in like 5 min that he just gifted it to the other team. His legs were done. Why does White not come on?
quote:almost feel like Arteta is so dead set on making Zubi work/making sure Norgaard doesn’t shine too much that it’s to the detriment of the team. Today would’ve been a great day to rest Zubimendi & Timber with the NLD this weekend.
Zubi was an absolute non factor. Lots of give aways in the last 20 min. What is so wrong with Norgaard?
Also has anyone noticed how involved Saliba has been in attack recently? Feels like he drives forward and takes his man on & looks for a progressive pass way more than Timber does now.

“Don't worry we're 11pts clear,
don't worry we're 9pts clear,
don't worry we're 6pts clear,
don't worry we're 4pts clear,
don't worry we're still on top of the table,
don't worry we can still catch them,
don't worry next season is our season.????
Guess the victim ??”

A positive from yesterday. I believe that was one of Sakas statistical best games in an Arsenal shirt. I wonder what the future holds for him as a 10. It is very intriguing.
We have 11 games to figure out the parked busses or our premier league season is cooked. Also for the love of Christ stop fricking allowing wondergoals.
Off the top of my head head Szboszlai at Liverpool, Dorgu and Cunha vs United, Kroupi at Bournemouth, Bueno at Wolves. Just fricking stop that shite man. I don't think it is a "weak mentality." Maybe it is fatigue. No one ever lays a glove on us working it into the box so our players rest cuz they can't imagine someone scoring from range. Idk what it is but come the frick on. It is the same issue every year

After watching and thinking more about the end of the game, I'm tending to believe that is 100% Gabriel's fault and here's why I think it:
-Raya doesn't even make it out the 6 yd box
-Gabriel isn't even marking anyone
That's an easy catch of a harmless cross that Raya eats 99% of the time

I looked at the xG table this morning and we should be 11 points up. We are underperforming now by 3 and City are *overperforming by 3.
Maybe some hope but idk. Would love for them to drop a fricking game at home

If tweet fails to load, click here. Will never understand why we've convinced ourselves to just hoof it down the pitch at the first sign of pressure. Wasn't just Raya either, Timber & Gabriel did it quite a bit as well.
I can forgive the outside the box goals and all that, but the way these guys just panic when things get a little tough. And we're in a pattern now where this thing happens for at least 20 min every game name, with wolves it was the entire 2nd half.
The technical level just falls off a cliff. Can't keep the ball, can't keep pressure on the ball, can't string a pass or 2 together, hoof it at the first sign of pressure. It's really maddening

If tweet fails to load, click here. For the love of god, they never need to start together again. Coming on as subs in a basketball game is fine, they just aren't what we need together to begin games.
This is super simple, if Martinelli starts, he should be paired with Kai or Jesus
If Trossard or Eze starts, you play Vik or Kai with them

It's very clear that Arteta has a blind spot for Platforming attackers AND a general distaste for building attacks through the middle of the pitch.
If that doesn't change, I'm not sure how we win much of anything other than getting by on pure luck (which we have been on the wrong side of quite a bit)

I hate to say it, but if we choke away the league, Arteta has got to go.
All we had to do was beat wolves and forest. You could have beat forest, beat wolves, lost to liverpool and brentford and we would have more points.
It is not beating the teams you should beat that will cost us. We don't have to beat Liverpool to win the league, you just have to beat fricking Wolves.

Im going to disagree. If you come for the ball you have to take it, which means clearing out your own player.
You have to get the ball if you are the gk. He dropped it. End of.

I mean that is definitely the thing we don't know, whether Raya was calling for it or not.

Gotta rest Timber for a few games. I doubt any outfield player has played more than him Rice and Zubi

Timber & Zubi the most
They both need a break. Play white & Norgaard

Not sure I've looked forward to a game less than I am for this weekend.
I fully expect Mikel to run the same group of players out because he's stubborn

Big ups to City on another Premier League title. What a way for Pep to go out!
Posted on 2/21/26 at 2:57 pm to Bottom9
it was inevitable
the moment they came back and beat Liverpool at their place was when the dream of winning the Pl was over for me
City is so much more crisp and direct in possession, their one touch passing is far superior then ours….it takes them little effort to get into the final third
but atleast our boys are far better at horseshoeing it around between the back 4
