What's stopping Arteta from running this lineup out with Rice in place of Norgaard?

Could do Trossard/Vik in place of Martinelli & Jesus

If teams aren’t going to come at us I don’t see why not.

If we are going to invert the fullback we don’t need two cms standing between the cbs.

Norgaard is such a class player and great squad player. These deep cup runs are 100% a big part because of him. Love watching him play and be calm as can be all day in the game.

Saliba getting minutes was fantastic. Eze balling out was also great.

Two away wins on deck please!

I know people keep saying play him in the 10. But that’s not really how we play. We tried that against Brentford a bit and couldn’t get it right.

The big teams copied pep’s 4-3-3 with a single pivot and two 8s that press and defend. Thats how we’ve played ever since pushing Ozil out.

At times in this game Saka was much deeper than Eze getting the ball and defending. He was playing a more box to box role imo. And he’s suited for it.

Saka was doing the Odegaard better than Odegaard in the first half. Him and Noni could be deadly on the RW. frick it and try it against wolves

Looks like must have just been a cramp for Ben. Such an offensive weapon for us

I'd like to see this lineup on Wednesday:

Martinelli/Trossard
Jesus/Gyok
Noni
Eze
Rice
Saka
Hincapie/Cala (if available)
Gabriel
Saliba
White

Martinelli & Jesus OR Trossard & Vik

We don't need to high press because wolves are just going to boot it long every time.

Gives you good wide triangles on both sides, hopefully be able to break down that block

Probably won't see either of these but this is what id go for.

Raya
White
Saliba
Gabriel
Hincapie
Saka
Zubimendi
Rice
Madueke
Gyokeres
Trossard

Or play rice in the 6 and Eze on for Zubi.

Easiest draws I've seen in my 13 years watching. Damn.

City at Newcastle. 2 bogey teams knocking each other out. Come on Newcastle!

We are so close

This is the furthest we have been since winning.

We have been knocked out by Southampton, Forest, City, Liverpool, United.

And one of these seasons our 3rd round draw was Newcastle. So pretty much have just gotten premier league teams.

I do not like Timber at LB.

Timber against Pacey wingers, white vs low blocks.
