I'll still contend that Odegaard and Zubi don't work well together. Got to have a midfielder that can dribble around/away from people and neither one of them can do that other than going backwards

All that being said, we haven't won at Everton in a long time, so I'm happy with 3.
Hopefully a heavy rotation on Tuesday

I mean he’s just coming back from injury.
Once again Arsenal expected goals was 1.61 better than Everton. City was 1.12 expected goals better than West Ham.
City is riding some absurd expected goals luck on both ends of the pitch the last few weeks that is drastically shaping people’s view of the season.
If both teams keep playing like this I still favor Arsenal to get it done. Especially with Havertz and Gabi to return

That's where expected goals is a little deceiving. They've got Haaland, we've got no one on that level. They've got a lot of attackers, and platform them really well.
We've got some decent attackers, but don't always platform them well and we are average finishers as a whole.
We do have the better defense, but all it takes a few lucky bounces when all we do is score 1 or 2 a game. It's a bad way to play because you ask for shite like Wolves & Sunderland to happen.
ETA: When we don't have the easy 3-0 games, there's a lot of mental fatigue that I think weighs the team down. They need to come out firing and scoring early on so you can just rely on the defense and possession to see out games. Margins are so slim, you can't rely on winning everything 1-0

Haaland I’ll give you and it definitely can be a little deceiving, but beating expected goals by over two goals a game over the course of six months would be historic and unheard of. That’s what City has done in the league in this stretch of games. Not just on offense too, they’re keeping clean sheets even though average over a goal conceded in expected goals

I'm not disagreeing with you, but they make winning look a whole lot easier than we do, and again I think it's mental fatigue for the team and not letting guys get properly rotated.
I don't think City is going to run away or anything because their defense is a little suspect, but they're a lot like Liverpool last year in that they are willing to sacrifice out of possession because they can score in bunches.

Great game. Away wins with a clean sheet are rare in the PL.
Take it and move on. 3 straight home games. Be ruthless and send a message please.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Exactly how I feel. We need to be more decisive so the randomness in football doesn't come back to bite us, which has already happened this year in Liverpool, Sunderland, Villa, that's 4 pts dropped in like the combined last 10 minutes of games.
Almost happened against Wolves as well. They just have to be better and be more urgent to go up 2 goals where possible.

Man some of our fans are such figs. I guess it is what happens when you have a massive fan base from around the world.

Agree, but we have also gained points from random football moments. It washes out in the end because the table never lies.

I’d like to see the stats on hincapie’s passes. I might be over critical, but it seems like it’s less than 50%, or at least it was this past game. I like his physicality, but I have no confidence in his ability to play and pass out of the back to break the press. And I still blame his fricking seizure that caused him to lose the ball out of bounds against Villa, leading to the loss. He pisses me off, and it feels irrational

Thats so crazy man but I think it's a compliment to Gabriel at the same time.
Hincapie has served well at CB. He's better than Kiwior that's for sure no knock on Kiwior who had a great end to last season.
Throwing Hincapie into the deep end will only better him. He's better than Gabriel when Gabriel first got her let's be honest. I also feel like Calafiori would be the LCB in place of Gabriel if he weren't such a menace at LB. The best LB, DM, LW, RW, left 8, right 8, 9 in football history. We need him in every one of those positions and it is a shame MLS has fallen off a cliff this year but also a testament to how important Calafiori is.

I remember when Arsenal had to play Rob Holding when Saliba went out.

Yep. And Tomiyasu being hurt too.
He should have played Kiwior at RCB way earlier than he did. Oh well. Will make our title this year sweeter.

He gets ragdolled, smashes a few clearances, then overcelebrates when he scores
Has he even scored for us? And I wish he had smashed a clearance against villa, that's 1 more point.
Some of this reminds me of LSU under Les where people just made shite up to bash the team.
Also want to point out that City were world beaters and really putting the pressure on Arsenal by beating Palace. Then palace get absolutely smashed by Leeds.
