We must have an excellent relationship with Brentford. Chelsea and Spurs tried to buy him earlier in the summer and Brentford told them 40 million. We just got him for 30 million after we sold Turner for 10.
So we basically got a second starting goalie for 20 mil. Incredible business by Edu and company. Four truly fantastic signings this window.
We absolutely have the best two goalies in the Premier League combined now.

David Raya joins Arsenal on initial loan for £3m plus £27m buy option clause — as @TheAthleticFC reported ???????? Brentford accepted this way as it helps Arsenal with Financial Fair Play. Buy clause, automatically activated after few games otherwise available for #AFC in 2024.

Brilliant business.
ETA: evidently the buy option is activated if he plays in a certain number of games

Havertz is exactly who Chelsea supporters and coaches said he is.

“Here we go again with Jesus. When will he be back and when will he be 100 percent fit? Etc. etc.”
He has Wilshire syndrome. His ligaments are made of cotton candy and his bones of balsa wood.
Can you genuinely frick right off? I have never rooted for a player more than Havertz ever so he can prove dumbasses like you wrong. Having Havertz as a 9 helps us overrun the midfield. Havertz up top lets you play Partey, Rice, and Odegaard together. No one outside of City and maybe Liverpool will be able to deal with being overrun in midfield by 4 dudes and 5 when you add Zinchencko and when Timber starts at RB. We don't need Havertz to score like Prime Henry when we share the goal load with 5 players. He wasn't brought here to be a 9 but he did great against City. His pressing along with Odegaard brings zero drop from Jesus and Odegaard, hence the reason he started.
Also, it's Wilshere and Jesus will be back in a few weeks and we have plenty of depth to cover with Havertz, Trossard able to play false 9 and Eddie giving us some minutes there. Also Martinelli practically plays there 25% anyway when Trossard and Jesus are in the team at the 9.
frick off man

630 AM wake up for the first day of the league for Arsenal. First weekend I have to sleep in for a very long time and I am choosing to wake up early for this team. They'll be the death of me. #COYG!!!
Great first run of games we have on the schedule this year.

Actually, this is good business. My concern was with paying 40 million for a gk after having recently just done that.

Will they even be open? I pretty much gave up on them after I got up early to catch a game there pre parades and they were closed.
Id go on Saturday if they were open. There wont be any traffic and i could be back home and out of the city by lunch.

Special mention for Sgt Arteta’s lonely hearts club band and former kids on the block.

Don’t like partey at rb. Just don’t get it.

Would prefer Tomi. Hopefully Arteta doesn’t try to be too cheeky trying to be unpredictable.
