Eddie’s problem is he sucks at holdup play in a very physical league and doesn’t have Walcott/Henry pace to be a target striker. He also doesn’t create his own chances like Jesus.

Brutal game today. Should have won, but glad to not lose. Unbeaten through 7 games this year + Community Shield trophy so I will gladly take that any day of the week.
We have a nice schedule coming up with some slight advantages here and there to help offset the playing field with our current injuries. Hopefully we can get some victories before the much needed October International Break where our injured players can rest.
Away vs Brentford (Carabao Cup 3rd Round)
Away vs Bournemouth (PL, Not a single win yet, 17th)
Away vs Lens (CL, In Relegation Battle in Ligue 1)
Home vs Man City (PL, No Rodri or De Bruyne)

Also when Eddie stayed on. Eddie was pretty bad today IMO. Good pressing but felt like even our pressing was bad today.
I know he hustles, but he does a very poor job of his trying to block things. Several times he just leaves it on the player. Got a red for that a couple of seasons ago, yet he keeps doing it. It’s a strange thing. Like you can block the dude without taking him out or stomping their ankle.
And yeah he didn’t offer much and played the whole game.
Pretty terrible overall performance. Raya made a good save but his passing was all over the place. Only get a half from Rice and Vieira. Jorginho looking like he hasn’t played. Eddie not contributing much. Jesus being a menace but missing an easy chance.

ESR needs to finish that.
Havertz needs to show way more urgency to put that away.

Reiss is playing like a man possessed. Feels like he has a real opportunity to be first attacking sub off the bench (or first man up when one of the starters goes through a rough patch) and he’s trying to take that chance.

That’s one way to make thing way harder than it should have been.

Nice win today considering Brentford started most of their A team and we changed most our regular starting 11.
4th Round Draw gives us at West Ham. Not a terrible draw all things considered.

Still not ruthless enough finishing chances.

Ended up watching later in the evening last night.
Eddie was better, but... he did it again and got a card.
Also thought tomi was really good. Man we really need him to stay fit. He's an excellent defender.
And Ramsdale was better last night than raya was in the nld. Ramsdale should start next game and I feel like he is Arsenal's keeper. I dont like brentford and i dont think I like raya.

I understand the emotional connection but Raya is clear of him.

As good as Ramsdale can be, I have a certain calmness with Raya especially when it comes to playing balls out of the air, corners, etc....

Need a win today and honestly, we need a good performance considering City is next weekend.

Eddie up top and Jesus on the left again
Could we not hand Nelson or ESR a cheeky start at LW?

Camera is a little close for my liking. Can’t see enough of the field.
Or it’s just too low.

My Peacock feed keeps going out.
Not a fan of Jesus on the left. Also hope that Trossard and Vieira aren't starting solely because they are coming off knocks, and not because Arteta favors Nketiah and Havertz.
