He's playing that midfielder role really well. He fits in so naturally there. He is more expansive than Xhaka in terms of his mobility, so we are getting some really nice combinations in midfield, while at the same time he's able to recycle possession. I hope he continues like this because at his current level of play, he's an upgrade on Xhaka in every respect except for passing range (which he probably won't be able to match) and leadership/grit (which he might be able to match with time).

Havertz is also great at winning balls in the air. They tend to target him on long balls and let the wingers/forward run onto the headers he wins. We didn’t have anyone in the squad that was able to do that previously and I think was something Arteta wanted to have as another added dimension.

What is Arteta's deal with Gabriel?
He is shuffling around the entire backline now by refusing to start him.
I am happy to see Trossard get minutes though, but no Zinchenko or Gabriel makes no sense. Playing Saliba on the left isn't ideal along with Partey double dipping.

Gabriel definitely makes the club better. That and we have 0 fullbacks out there now. There wont be much support on the wings going forward, it will all be up to Saka and Martinelli to do everything.

Chasing a goal he will bring on Zinchenko and Jesus I'd think. Hopefully he doesn't wait too long, and brings them on around the 60th at the latest.
