our back 4 has been getting abused

he literally was fouled harder than that rt before by konate. Then trent ran up and threw his forearm elbow in like the upper back area.

City essentially ahead on goal differential now. The game in hand and the win over us
game in hand doesn’t automatically equal 3 points. It sucks that we go from 2-0 up to a draw, but a point at Anfield is still a huge result given our past performances there.

I think everybody needs to just take a breath and relax for a moment. We still have, at worst, a 3 point lead with 8 games to go. We don’t have to rely on any other teams in order for us to win the title. It’s still in our hands, we move on to West Ham next week.

Agreed. We played pretty shitty after they scored. Lucky to escape with a point but I’ll take it. We control our destiny.

it doesn't, but the point is city controls their own destiny now. arsenal could've prevented that with 3 points today.

Well thank God for Ramsdale. He is obviously player of the match. That one point may matter before it’s over.

Look guys there is zero doubt that Man City is overall the better and more experienced side, but if we were a stock everyone would be buy us as we are still the youngest team in the damn league. Again, as they are the youngest team in the league, this shite can happen, (Man City has dropped some too and they will drop or tie another one promise you) Also our kids may just might come out and tie or beat Man City, they played them well last time and we short sone serious players. Hell, they are young and they don’t know any better. We have zero pressure as everyone things they are going to win.

I think we are are still going to win this damn thing because Man City has so many non premier games and is bound to slip up in a league game. However, if we finish runner up, I am not going to cry like a baby and still deem this season a success as the goal going in was to make champions league, a championship is lagniappe in my opinion. Plus they are defending champions and probably better team right now. But that doesn’t mean they win the championship.

Aaron Ramsdale should be Englands #1 because my goodness.

The schedule becomes our greatest friend in a moment.

Man City has a clogged cup schedule between now and our game at the Etihad. If Arsenal win the next two then we will be 9 points clear going into the Etihad.

At West Ham
vs Southampton

We win these two then we really just needing a draw at the Etihad to take control of the title race.

While we hung in in the end, this feels like a loss the way we started. However, this team has made some strong bounce backs after disappointing results all season. Don’t see why that changes at this point. Hopefully Saliba is fit soon. It’s going to be testy the whole way in. Hopefully City drop a few points with their schedule congestion.

What people don’t seem to consider is as good as Arteta has been, he’s still learning as well. He too won’t ace every game.

not going to cut the guy any slack

guy needs to be medicated for big matches

if i was the opposing coach i’d tell my players to do everything to get under his skin. he’s such a hot head and hurts his team while doing it

it was him that didn’t get back in time to stop the pass across to salah on the first goal

Well on the positive side he didn’t cost us the game it was a tie, that’s definitely an improvement over previous years. He is been on my shite list for a long time but not this year as he has played really well all year. Everyone has a bad game at some point even Olegard and Saka

So we automatically lost to City already despite the game not being played yet?

Quite impressive I guess

This is such horse shite and im not having it.

1st off, Gabriel at fault for first goal, which is what got them into the game.

Zin at fault for 2nd

And before Xhakas thing Saka booted the ball after the whistle and got the crowd riled up.

And on top of that, the fricking ref elbowed their player in the face.

So no, stop with the granit xhaka hate. hes been one of our players of the season.

Also wanted to point out that Arteta subbed kiowor in for martin odegaard. Arseblog this morning said they had no shots on goal in the 2nd half before kiowr came on, then 5 shots on goal after with him whiffing that tackle.

This is a shitty take. Like very shitty.

Xhaka has been amazing all season. He gets fouled in the back and immediately is the reason "Anfield woke up?" Get outta here with this nonsense.

They woke up after the Salah goal which was terrible defending all around and genuinely a lucky bounce off of Henderson's foot for the assist.

Name me one other match against big clubs this year where Xhaka was a "hot head" that "hurt the team"

Please go ahead.

Yeah that seemed a bad move that invited pressure. Overall I thought we played well, but we are desperately missing someone deep in midfield who can dribble from deep. I've said it so many times before, but it was alarming how many players we had during the Wenger era who could carry the ball in midfield, and how few we have now. The ball carriers we do have play far up the field, and we just need one more player to carry the ball when we are being pressed, as teams that press can easily be bent out of shape by a good dribbler from deep.

I mean, for long periods, we were playing the ball into feet, pinging passes around, doing very well. I thought Robertson should have gotten a card for his play on Saka, but Saka won't ever get those calls because he stays up, withstands their press, and turns his defenders regardless of what they do to him.

Actually, I gave up all of non-work related internet usage, as did she, although we used the internet for some trips. I'll be honest, it was really fantastic. If I didn't love trolling so much, I would give up the internet for real.

Other players get fouled (and not get called) in the back in the PL, but hardly ever see a player retaliate. He needs to brush that shite off instead letting his emotions get the best of them

that literally happened right after the xhaka brush up…team was never the same after that and crowd was in it rest of the game

can’t, but he’s got a hell of a list prior to this season

Well you can be sour all you want. The way that game was going, it's a miracle we drew 2-2.

XG had it like 4-2 or something like that. I'll take it.
