Beautiful finish on the road against a very capable and scrappy team. Damn good start

Great 3 points. Only gripe is not making subs earlier when our energy dropped and palace started getting more chances. Having xhaka and white on yellows hamstrung us a bit.

Incredibly pleased with Saliba. Wow!

Martinelli and Jesus are going to be a problem for opposing defenders, they are so active and put themselves in dangerous positions.

Agreed on the delay in subs. There was a clear lull to the match, a dip in performance and intensity.

Wish Saka was a bit more clinical with his chances. The first half it was nearly all down the left side with Martinelli, but the 2nd half you could tell the outlet was Saka nearly every possession.

Was nice to see tierney come on. We have definitely upgraded that left side especially with a fit esr.

And yeah Saliba let’s us not have to play Cedric. White gave the ball a way a couple of times but I thought he and Saliba handled zaha well enough.

Small world. She’s been a in town a good bit, but don’t think we’re pulling her from London anytime soon.

Amazing, all the new pieces fit in so nicely. We are definitely a better team this year. Game should have been 3-1 or 4-0 but we have dropped games like this too. Some mental errors on defense but that’s to he expected. Quality Goal Keeping as usual. CP away isn’t an easy win for anyone. I am giving them B+ To A- which is perfect for opening game. Good win witn lots of room for improvement.

BTW, where was my guy, Smith Rowe? Is he injured or something.

Lots of thoughts but holy shite I think Saliba might become one of the top CBs in the world very quickly.
Still want to see one more central midfielder to add to the rotation, especially with the Xhaka role being so high up the field at times.

Feels good to finally have a win after the first match of the season.

Also, Lucas Torreira has officially joined Galatasaray on a permanent deal.

I keep forgetting him and Bellerin are still on the team.

I really like this team. Just want Tielmans and a few loan/sales outgoing and I would think we could call it a window.

Btw I doubted the Jesus transfer from the get-go and happily eating crow for my take.

Nuno scored on his debut for Marseilles this weekend. Probably the first time I've seem him hit a shot that didn't sky over the crossbar.

Brooke Norton-Cuffy also signed a new contract with Arsenal. Supposedly will go on loan to a Championship team. Hopefully he can end up being the back-up RB/future starter in the next two-three seasons.

After all the hype and anticipation building up to opening weekend, this week is such a lull. Looking forward to plugging it up with a new release of All of Nothing tomorrow.

It looks like Mari is on the move, hopefully permanently. It will be interesting to see if we bring in more, and who else we are able to offload. While it's painful how we've sold (or just paid players to leave) the last few years, hopefully that spell is over.

Let's lock up Saka and Saliba, add one or two more and keep winning. COYG!
