I understand the need for squad rotation since they played Thursday, but once I saw this starting XI I knew it would be a bit of a rough one.

As an aside, there is just really no place for Elneny in a squad like Arsenal.

If that hamstring/calf, whatever it is injury for Laca is serious they might be well and truly effed for Europa. Auba had better get well ASAP.

Fulham let's them live in their half for the last 17 minutes (last 10 and all of extra time), what did they think would happen?

VAR balanced out. The Arsenal goal lost because of the toe offsets the ET goal.

Yes, I know it was technically offsides, but when you are talking about a toe, that's hairsplitting

Remember the days when Wenger never lost let alone drew against to teams out of the top 7 or so?

I miss those days.

We are so fricking shite. VAR aside. Mikel doesn't believe in full fleged attacking. I mean even against Slavia we only had 7 shots.

We should be having 20 to 25 shots against these arse water teams

frick Kroenke forever. Motherfricker thinks he's going to make Arsenal a "big club" while spending pittance. frick him for forcing Wenger out. frick him for everything.

What? Var sucks because they made the rt call and the wrong call on Fulhams goal. their player is offside, and it is a dive.

Holding is not offsides in our 2nd goal, thats the rule, they changed it. A few years ago holding is offside.

here me out on this.

This is 100% good for Arsenal. We may never have qualified for the CL again, you do know this right? We absolutely only deserve to be in this because we have the 10th most fans in the world, not because we are actually good.

Lets not forget the Premier league and CL were not a thing pre 1992. Things change.

The only issue I have with this will be years down the road when they make this superleague bigger and its just one big pan european league and domestic leagues go away, or go back to what they were before.

Uefa fricked Arsenal by playing a fricking game in Baku, they dont give a flying frick about us. the CL is expanding the amount of teams anyway, again Uefa making an absolute money grab.

Fifa and the world cup in Qatar.

This has been happening all of our football following lives, why draw the line in the sand now?

Arsenal will get billions out of this

Do you recall the rhetoric around Wenger's waning years? We essentially fricked the man who made us into the club we are today, with the "board" leaving Wenger in the firing line time and again, and suddenly you expect me to be on board with Kroneke's myopia? Why did he decide to buy a football team anyway? What is the point of him? He had nothing to do with this club, and I'd rather leave him, and return to Wenger's principles, than continue with this dreck, where none of the principles that were set by either George Graham, with solid defensive play, or Arsene Wenger, with solid offensive play, are on show. We are slow in possession, terrible in defense, can barely string passes together, and don't belong with Europe's elite. I don't really care how much UEFA fricked us, as Kroneke fricked us out of the best coach we will ever have and fricked us repeatedly, and all for what? So Kroneke could save his pennies and count us among the richest clubs in the world, a strategy that was predicated on the fact that Wenger could miraculously get top four despite having absolute dogshit teams. And the irony is if he fully supported Wenger, they would have ended up in the same place, because the key was Wenger, not Kroneke, not UEFA, not anyone else. Do you see how insane the logic is on Kroneke's part?

This time is as good as any to get Kroneke out of the club, unless the rhetoric from the board about being "self-sustaining" was a lie, in which case again, they fricked Wenger, over and over, from how the stadium was funded to how the ownership change went down. I remember all the bullshite they spewed, all the insane justifications they used, and to know now that it was all meaningless, that counting pennies would have had the same net effect as spending 100 mil every year if the end result was to end up in a league with Europe's best. Maybe you forgot the rhetoric, but I didn't. They destroyed that man, left him to fend for himself against the fans, and then destroyed what he built in less than 3 seasons. frick them forever. I'd rather go through the pyramid again than I would support any club that Stan Kroneke is involved in.

With all this I know exactly what the kroenkes were doing.

They just keep us in the premier league until they get this injection of cash to not spend on Arsenal. They hired a manager with zero experience.

I hate them.

But, this superleague was always going to happen. It's not that I want it to happen, it's just I'd rather Arsenal be in it than not.

quote:

In exchange for their commitment, Founding Clubs will receive an amount of €3.5 billion solely to support their infrastructure investment plans and to offset the impact of the COVID pandemic.

And while on Wenger, the fans and the UK media gave him shite and Arsenal about the top 4 trophy. Now they want to hold on to that.

Again I'm not for this, Ive already settled on this happening. Not much diff than the CFP. Anytime it was brought up I was like frick you, frick that, will ruin college football. But after it happened my energy on hating it was already gone and was like, LSU still has to win their games regardless of format.

If you or anyone else wants to go to LA and protest the Kroenkes I'm down. But we are basically at the whims of billionaires.

I love Arsene Wenger. Ac Milan is also involved and we all know the prick who is there.

You completely disregard the fact that Arsenal IS NOT going into this league to compete. Ever. They are going for the guaranteed £350 million that Stan will just pocket. Come on now. We will literally be the Browns or Jaguars of this league.

Saka will be our Jokic. Arteta may be our McVay but we are only going into this league to be bottom feeders. A guaranteed pay day.

There will be no ambition.

This is a bailout for Barca and Real Madrid who have spent like fricking retards for years and years. It isn't the Premier Leagues fault that La Liga and Serie A TV rights and branding is fricking dire

I can't forgive them for putting Wenger on the firing line. I remember one supporters trust meeting where fricking Peter Hill-Wood just sat silently as fans let Arsene have it, the whole time, covering for the Board and Stan. Now that everything is out of the bag, we deserve the worst for the way we treated Arsene. Certainly, the Kronekes deserve nothing for what Arsene built. In the 3 years he's been gone, what proof do we have that he was even with us? The style is gone, the technical ability is gone, we don't do anything all that well, and we look far worse now than we ever did under Wenger.

I love Arsenal dearly. I love Arsene Wenger dearly. He is a man on whom I try to model my own life, principled, disciplined, thoughtful but pragmatic. I can't support any thing associated with the Kronekes though. I've hated them for a while, and now that there is an opportunity to get them out, the fans should take advantage of it. I know even if they go to this super league, they won't use the money. They don't care, and frankly, they deserve the worst.

Our choices with Arsene, at the time, were to take him at his and the board's word, or to not believe him, which would have put the focus on the Kronekes. We all probably knew the truth in our hearts, but what else were we supposed to do? Arsene had the power to turn the club entirely against the Kronekes, and he didn't, because he was visionary enough to see that in order for his project to be fulfilled, it would require similarly visionary ownership. I don't know what the frick the Kronekes said, but it's clear that there isn't a project, just a never-ending drama where the blame never centers on the people who deserve it. And thankfully, Stan is genuinely a stupid person, and miscalculated the blowback. At this point, if the fans don't do anything, if UEFA and FIFA don't do anything, we have to hope that the UK government sanctions the club so hard that it compels Stan to sell. Otherwise, superleague or not, we are just an investment vehicle for him and his retard son.

frick the Kronekes forever. No one should forgive or forget what they did to Arsene.

Agreed. This whole thing makes me sick. I can’t imagine Arsenal not playing in the Premier league next year.
