I'm not sold on Lacazette. He's been decent but that's in league 1. Much rather spend another 20 mill and get Lukaku. A young proven goalscorer with a good shot at developing into a world class striker. If we replace Sanchez with Lacazette that's a huge step back.

I agree on that. If we have to lose Sanchez/Ozil, the hope is we at least replace them...emphasis on the hope. A pipe dream for me would be somebody like Marco Reus.

And man, I forget that Lukaku is like my age. I thought he was way older than 23. He must have that Theo Walcott syndrome

Reus is always injured. If you can get him at a bargain price then sure, go for it.

I defer to you guys on players but How can u even properly evaluate talent with Wenger?

I agree with the ole time arsenal players the team just has no fire ??. Either we need a manager that will give it to them or a player that will. They come out flat too many times a year especially against the other top 5 teams which I think we are like 1 and something against this year.

Momentum has more value in soccer than any sport I have played or watched. You can just literally see the difference when a team scores a goal and it goes from 2-0 to 2-1. Even watching on TV u can feel energy change.

They seem too robotic, lifeless too often. They don't look like they are having fun and love the game.

New coach needs to bring back on the old timers to remind this team about great history of arnsenal football and get everyone excited again. Hit the damn reset button

If we lose today I'm done with this club until Wenger is gone.

That's exactly what I've been saying. We don't know how good some of these players could be with direction and structure.

Lineup today. Not really sure what Lucas needs to do to start a game, but I like the lineup.

Or Sanchez is much better than Lacazette. And I guess the EPL isn't a step up from league 1.

Typical TN Bhoy nonsense.

Oh yeah and who would want Lukaku?

Lacazette is better than Lukaku.

The EPL, as evidenced by the last few years of results (:cough: Monaco v Arsenal :cough:), is barely, if at all, a step up from Ligue 1, and players who do well in Ligue 1 do well in England (and players who are fricking shite in Ligue 1 do well in England - Origi, for example, was named the worst player in Ligue 1).

ETA: And Lukaku would not fit Arsenal's style of play at all, unless y'all are planning on completely recreating your squad with the new manager.

Replace Giroud with Lacazette in this lineup and we are absolutely deadly.

Lukaku is proven goal scorer in the league we play in. Lacazette is a good player but if I had my choice I'd go with Lukaku for that vary reason. Yea England has been poor in the UCL the last 5 years or so but if you think that because a couple of French clubs have had some success lately in the competition makes league 1 better than the epl you're delusional. As for our style we have none. You probably still think we try to play beautiful passing football. That died about 3 years ago. Lukaku would instantly fit in our "system". And Origi is your example of success in England? Good one.

Sure things: death, taxes, and Ramsey blowing a point-blank strike. He had plenty room, why the hell didn't he attack where he could at least put a little pressure on the keeper and cut the angle down?

The Ramsey of 2013-14 was an aberration.
