I might be stretching on a couple of these, but can all my fellow LSU fans appreciate (or despise) the parallel lines here?
Wenger :: Les -- Long-time successful coach undone by their own stubbornness
Kroenke :: Alleva -- Man in charge that seems liked by almost no one
Arsenal health :: good LSU QB play -- something that seemed like a pipe-dream under the head coach
Bould :: Orgeron -- obviously not but I swear to God if this happens I'll freak out
Man, thanks for this. I needed a good chuckle this morning.

I actually think we'd be superbly organized if Bould was the coach.
It's the organization that's killing me. We set players up to fail and then destroy their confidence. We are doing it to Coquelin right now. It's impossible for him to both win the ball upfield and cut entry passes between the lines, as Xhaka is playing as the covering midfielder at all times, and often gets bypassed. Santi had better positioning. We also made a massive mistake in loaning Jack. He'd be the perfect player to take Santi's place.

Ok, positives:
- Ox is really showing his future is centrally. He's been excellent there minus a couple of mistakes and looks to have a lot to offer.
- Xhaka, when he's given a fixed role as a deep lying play maker, is superb. I think we get a ton out of him when we surround him with two rangy, athletic attackers like Ox and Ramsey.
- Walcott has had a great year (16 goals, 1 goal every 113 minutes) and seems to be sustaining health. He was shredding perhaps the best LB in the world yesterday.
- Welbeck, when he's been healthy the last two seasons, has been excellent. A goal every 99 minutes. If we can keep him fit we have two excellent attacking options moving forward. Apparently we were going to start Alexis-Welbeck-Theo last night but Danny got sick.
- Hector and Iwobi, despite dips in form, are excellent young talents.
- Change is coming (I hope). It sure seems like it. This could be good or bad, but at least it will be different and we won't be stuck int
- We have valuable assets in Ozil and Alexis. We should get a good price for Alexis. I can't see him coming back. If we keep Ozil that's good too.
My hopes for the rest of the year
- Honestly not that concerned about top 4. It would be nice, but I think a year out of the CL could boost our Prem chances next year. I think it would offset any transfer issues this summer, and I'm not sure CL football is that much of a difference maker for big targets any more. $$ talks. I'm fine either way.
- We get lined up a tactically adept coach. I don't know who that is, but someone who knows how to teach a team proper defending.
- We somehow convince Alexis to stay with the new coach, and if not we sell him and buy a goal scoring wide forward. With Welbeck, Giroud, Walcott, Lucas, Ox, Iwobi, Jeff, etc we have plenty of attacking depth. We just need the leader of the line.
- Shore up elsewhere in the summer. Probably going to have to address left back, possibly right back, CM as well as an Alexis replacement.
Chelsea were dire in Mourinho's final year and are coasting to the league now. Follow that model, with less cuntery, and we're set.

Here's my take on the players.
GK - Sell Ospina and bring back Szczesny. Let him and Cech battle for the top spot.
DF - We are set with Hector, Mustafi, and Koscienly. We need to sign a new LB and let either Monreal or Gibbs leave. Per, Gabriel, Chambers, and Holding can compete for the backup spots. We could probably sell either Gabriel or Chambers to help fund other signings.
MF - I really like the 3 of Xhaka, Ox, and Ramsey. With Elneny, Jack, and Coquelin as backups. Sell Ozil.
FW - Alexis is probably gone but the right hire could possibly change his mind. Sell Giroud. Spend huge on another forward(preferably a #9). If Alexis leaves then make another big signing at winger. Walcott, Welbeck, and Lucas provide depth.
I tried to keep it realistic with only making a few signings and selling just a few guys. It will take multiple windows for a manager to get the squad where he wants. I do believe with a new manager and a couple signings we can at least challenge for the title sooner than later.

I haven't watched Chambers much this year, but the early reports are good. I think I'd much rather keep him than Gabriel.
This has been said a lot on the Arseblog podcast, but Arsenal football decisions are run by one man, and this transition could really be a difficult one. I don't know if it is possible with egos and such, but maybe if Arsene moved upstairs and made way for a new manager, that would be the best scenario.

It helps you're in London, and one year out may not drastically hurt who you can target, but it absolutely has an effect on who you can go after

Arsene has already said he will be managing next year even if it isn't here so him moving up will be very unlikely.
They need a new football staff from top down with a football director and new manager. It's gotten to be where one man cannot be the entire staff anymore.

Ugh. Just got an espn notification that Ox wants out this summer.
Posted on 3/8/17 at 4:49 pm to Stewie Griffin
Me too. I hope it's not true :/

I think the guys who want out would reconsider their stance if Arsene leaves. At least I hope they will reconsider. Everyone is on edge right now because we are in a crisis.

What're the reports so far?
I've read where Lucas, Ox, Jack, Ozil, Sanchez, Ospina and possibly Gibbs all want to leave.
Surely they don't all want to go, especially if we get a new manager.

Reports that Koscienly was the guy Sanchez got into a bust up with. Great our 2 best players. Someone make it stop. Arsenal will give me PTSD by the time this season ends. As for departures go - Sanchez, Ozil, Jack, Gibbs, and Ox all have 1 year left on their deals after this season. Why would we allow it to get to this? Just more poor judgment by the club and Wenger.

Considering we let Gnabry go in order to keep Ox, I would be pissed if he left.

Man, Ox was coming onto the scene right when I started following Arsenal, so I've always found myself rooting for him a little more than others. This would suck, especially if he were to start tearing it up for another English club.

Honestly I'm gonna be glad that Sanchez and Ozil are leaving. Will give us a fresh start and we have the chance to fund purchases like Lacazette and Griezmann if possible. There's no fight in this squad and I don't see it changing with them still here...

You think we are going to splash cash just because those two leave?
Posted on 3/9/17 at 9:29 am to cwil177
No but one can be hopeful looool I wish we had some Russian owner who would spend the damn money

Kroenke is probably rock hard right now at the prospect of selling off our highest assets. "We've already got Sanogo!" is something I can imagine him saying.

I guarantee he has no idea who that is. I'd be surprised if he knew Sanchez and Ozil.

We need Lacazette.... It makes too much sense to not get him.. Dude is class
