Yea I really don't like it either. Hopefully it doesn't affect the players performance and if it does they complain and puma changes it.

On another note, Debuchy looks SOOOOO French

I think they look fine. The Nike player issues are a tight fit as well. I have one and can't wear it cus of my beer belly. Now the replica is huge. So I like the puma replicas, not too tight, not too big.

I'd say the Nike ones are more form fitting than tight. The players don't look like they are wearing spandex.

I dint think the diff is that big. Plus why do we want dresses on our players? Lighter, more aerodynamic, more noticeable when.pulled/ harder to pull, and at least it will look like their shirts are tucked in instead of this I'm too cool for that BS.

Oh and with puma, we had 2 big signings in one week.

Does Wenger see Ramsey/Wilshere double pivot in the future?

To start answering my own question, I've done a little digging. I know we saw it last year, and here's a good read from Zonal Marking on when Rambo-Jack paired vs. Tottenham.

LINK

That's a good tactical look at what we may do going forward.

And this quote seems relevant:

quote:

Mathieu Flamini had a positive impact as a substitute for Jack Wilshere, and although he’s not the high-profile signing many Arsenal fans expected, in a way he’s exactly what they need. The rumoured move for Luiz Gustavo, for example, never really made sense because Arsenal don’t need a first-choice holding midfielder – in the vast majority of games, Mikel Arteta plays that role well, with Ramsey or Wilshere alongside him. What Arsenal need is a more combative, defensive option in their squad, to play in conjunction with (or as a replacement for an injured) Arteta. In that sense, as a free signing, Flamini is a decent choice.

Excellent read.

But this:

quote:

Suffice to say, it would take a nightmarish half a season at Juventus – playing sometimes even as a wing-back – for Henry to realise how right Wenger was.

I think we start the season with Giroud up top, Sanchez on the right. When Theo gets back, we may see those three rotate quite a bit. Not sure how much they'll play together.

One day, though, I want to see this:

Sanchez
Ox-Ozil-Theo

Just run teams ragged. That sort of lineup late against heavy legs, with one of them fresh off the bench, could be lethal.

I'm pretty sure his book is the one that rips RVP for being a massive tool in the locker room.

Theo calls RVP "the cringiest player in the Premier League" lol

that lineup was one of my first reactions after the rumors got serious. that is an elite counterattacking unit. would especially love to see that in the CL if we matched up against a big team.

That description of RVP is too ridiculous to believe.

Great article. I watched a lot of Sanchez videos last night and I thought the same thing.

I think puma are just hurting themselves with these tops.

Normally when I see arsenal players I say "that kit looks nice, Maybe I should get one"

I see these and say "that looks weird as frick"

So I'm trying to learn the cups. We won the FA Cup last year which is the mid season cup right? What others are there?

Arsenal will be playing for the league title, champions league, fa cup, capital one cup, and community shield.

Capital One Cup (League Cup)
Consists of the top four tiers of English football. Winner of the tournament earns a spot in the Europa League (unless they qualified for Champions League).
Kind of an annoying cup because it is not very prestigious and we often have matches when our starters need rest. We will often play backups or young guys in these matches to give our first squad some needed rest.

FA Cup
Very prestegious cup that dates back to the late 1800s, making it the oldest associated football competition in the world. Consists of literally hundreds of teams from England. Not just professional teams. Which leaves the possibility of some village team matching up with a Premier League side.
We are of course the reigning champs.

Premier League
Top league in England. Consists of 20 clubs who play each other twice, one leg at home and one away. Total of 38 matches per squad.
Top four qualify for Champions League and fifth place qulifies for Europa League.
Arsenal has placed in the top four every year under Arsene Wenger (since 1996).

Champions League
A 32 team tournament with a similar format to the World Cup.
Consists of the past season's top teams from the top leagues in Europe. After qualifying is finished, there is a group stage followed by knockout rounds.
This is essentially the creme de la creme of football tournaments.

All tournaments are played throughout the season. The schedule is pretty crazy.

One of the most incredible stats possible. Also getting to knockouts of the Champions League for a record of consecutive years.
