We would've sold him had Giroud not gotten injured, or if we'd have known sooner about Welbeck.
He'll be out in January. I love him and think he's a player we need because he's different from what we have out wide, but Wenger, that stubborn bastard, clearly doesn't rate Podolski at all.
I've heard some chatter on Grzegor Kychowiak as a potential January buy, though he just signed with Sevilla in the summer window. Also talk of Khedira and Hummels. I'm sure none of it is very valid.

Podolski would be great for depth and usually delivers against lower sides. He actually takes shots, which I appreciate. The fact that we have so many injuries and guys get worn out while Arsene refuses to do anything resembling rotation really irritates me.

I mean, Cazorla hasn't been very good lately. Not sure why we don't give Podolski a run out left, play Alexis centrally, and have real width and space for him to operate in and for Ramsey to run into.
It's worth a shot, at least. Or, if we're going 4-4-2, play Welbeck and Podolski up top, with Alexis and Ox/Theo on the wings. The tactical flexibility of this team continues to clash with the personal inflexibility of Wenger, and it's frustrating.

smh ... either play him or sell him and use his wages! fwiw i love podolski #aha
Why is he and rosicky still on the books if we are never going to play them? shite really is mind boggling.
I read something yesterday that sums it up. He said when you get in with 10 minutes left you have no shot to get a feel for the game and get in a rhythm. He said something a long the lines of why hes not playing that you will have to ask his manager in england. The guy wants out and i think rosicky does too. Both are healthy, both dont play.

I don't blame them for wanting out. fricking Arsene.
And I don't want Sanchez playing centrally. His passing isn't that great. I would prefer Rosicky in that position and Sanchez on the wing.

We've had early recoveries before, but they normally lead to re-injuries.

Looks like Mike Dean is reffing the Manchester United game this weekend... Just what we need to try to get out of the malaise...

The thought of DiMaria running at Calum has me concerned. I don't see how we don't concede three goals, which means we'll need to score a bunch.
I just hope Arteta is fit and we can control the ball in the middle of the field without getting countered. Our fullbacks need to be very, very conservative.

Certainly no lead for either team will be safe in this game. RVP will bring his best, and we still have some combination of Rooney, Falcao, Mata, and/or Di Maria to contend with.
Luckily, their defense is almost as threadbare as ours, so we should be able to score some goals.

Exactly all of this. I have a bad feeling about us conceding a lot of goals at home.

Rosicky and Poldo are perfect depth and would be productive against lower-table teams and earlier round FA cups.
A huge part of our depth problem is these injuries we seem to get in much more abundance than any other PL side.
Another big part of our depth problem is Arsene's mind-boggling refusal to use R and P.
It's more mind-boggling than Les Miles sticking with Anthony Jennings at qb, no matter how badly he plays.

Good article, but the part about other teams not being able to keep up the pace is just speculation rather than anything based in fact. Also him pointing out how our main problems are so obvious and fixable and yet... Arsene doesn't... He's right, and it reminded me (not that I needed reminding) why I've been so frustrated with this team this year.
I want to delve into why teams have the highest conversion percentage against us. Is Sczez letting us down? Is our defense so shite that every shot they take has a legit chance of going into the goal? We don't have a lot of blocked shots, so that would go along with the shitty defense narrative.

So Wilshere just had a brilliant assist to Ox as the DM and has been MOtM in nearly every match he's played there for England. Why haven't we run him there yet?

He's been shite in this match outside of that pass.

frick off.
We haven't played him there because Arsene is a stubborn old fool who's lost the plot.

It's true. There was a great moment when Mulgrew (center-half playing in midfield) dummy'd him and Wilshere fell down.
