But seriously, Ozil out, Wilshere out, welcome back after a two and a half month injury Ramsey. Here we're just gonna put the whole season on your shoulders real quick

Him, Cazorla and Roscisky are going to have to play lights out. I think they will.

I have faith, I have trust and I have love for this team.

Draxler hasn't been on fire lately. His price may be inching down a bit.

Guys can hang their heads, yeah they chased a lit but also looked like the were going to take the match a couple of times. FIFA has to change the rules. Robben is a fricking cheat. He's a great player, play the game. You wonder why soccer still has a bunch if hate in the states? Its players like him rolling around on the ground acting like a lil bitch.

Don't take this rant as a complaint for Arsenal, it's just a general issue. Bayern was clearly the better team, but I really don't like the away goal tiebreaker. At first, when I started following the UCL, I thought it was a pretty cool idea. Now, I just think it creates bad soccer. There is too much strategizing instead of just playing the game. Anybody else agree? Or am I just not realizing how having it just be a straight up goal differential would cause issues. I understand that this would increase the chances of extra time, but I think I'd be willing to accept that.

Not that the Daily Mail or any other British media can ever be believed, but I saw a tweet from a writer at the Daily Mail where Özil is now expected out from 4-6 weeks with a grade 2 hamstring strain. I hope it's not that long as I was hoping he would be back and ready to go for the Wigan game. This FA Cup is our chance at winning something this year, and we absolutely need everyone fit and ready to go to get over the line at Wembley!

In the meantime, with injuries to Wilshere and Özil and Ramsey not likely to start right after coming back, I would hope that our lineup against Spuds looks something like this:

Szczesny
Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Vermaelen (assuming Gibbs & Monreal are still out)
Arteta, Oxlade-Chamberlain
Gnabry, Cazorla, Podolski
Giroud

I just think that Gnabry has got to start for some added pace, and the fact that he's not put in a bad shift at all when he's been in all season. Plus, he was Man of the Match for me in our FA Cup game against Spuds way back in the 3rd round, so he knows what it takes to play in and win the North London Derby.

I also could go either way on Podolski. He scored against Bayern Munich and always seems to come up with at least one good opportunity a game, but he is very inconsistent when starting, to say the least.

Either way, we have a lineup we can put out there that should be capable of going out and getting a result on Sunday. Spuds seem to be in crisis at the moment with Sherwood coming out and publicly criticizing his players again today in a press conference.

3 points on Sunday and Top 4 is done and dusted!

i think it's safe to assume ozil will be out for awhile.

AW said Gibbo may be back Sunday, but that back four is probably right.

ox pulled up a little bit late in that bayern match. hope he isn't injured. might be better to rest him. don't want him over worked.

agreed gnabry should start (especially if Ox doesn't) but i think rosicky will.

Keeping our backline healthy will be key and Giroud needs to step up.
I'm confident in a top 4 finish with an outside shot at the title (lots of upcoming opportunity).
FA cup is massive... not just because of the trophy drought, but I can't imagine the repercussions if we don't win it with where we stand.
Hope Ramsey comes back strong... Next 31 days are huge:
@Spurs
@Chelsea
Swansea
Man City
@Everton
Wigan

A trophy this year justifies the Ozil buy. The following years would just be lagniappe... Sweet, sweet lagniappe.

I'd be OK with this, so long as we get Ramsey in for about 20 minutes.

I completely agree as well. If he's in the squad, Ramsey has to get some minutes in this game. Having him back is crucial for the run we're about to face, which is probably the most obvious statement ever.

Unfortunately, I saw some tweets late this evening saying that he might be just a bit short in coming back for this game. Hope that is wrong!

yeah, no Ramsey Sunday. hit some, supposedly minor, bumps in the final leg of his recovery.

gibbs has a scan. kallstrom, sanogo and monreal should all be available.

ozil is out at least 4 weeks, according to the BBC.

also, he says (and there seems to be video showing) that he got injured in the second minute. wish he hadn't tried to play through that shite. makes the criticism of him even sillier.

yeah, that plus the news of rambo struggling to jump the final hurdle in his recovery is disconcerting.
