While the formation and squad selection were terrible, the effort and focus from the back 6 was just as bad. Lazily tracking back on defense, allowing free runners, giving the ball away easily and in dangerous areas, and not clearing the ball well enough. One of the worst defensive efforts I've seen from them in a long time.

Second half was much better barring the huge letoff for their second goal. We've been courting a draw like this for awhile with our slow out of the gate performances. We need Ramsey back in the worst way. He's the engine of the team, to operate at 100% he needs to be in the middle of the pitch with his energy.
That being said, a 2-2 draw away at Southampton isn't the worst result. As they get healthier they'll take some points off other teams

Given how sloppy we were, and how little effort and lollygagging I saw out there a draw isn't bad at all.

Ozil in the second half was like Bo Jackson in Techmo Bowl. He was just ridiculous. Given the way we played in the first half and Flamini's red card a draw is certainly a good result. Long way to go fellas and girl.

oooooooooooooo fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. somewhat sketchy source says Rambo out 4-6 more weeks with a tear in a tendon :(
really hope that isn't true, but if it is, then it's time for the ox to step up, because Jack can't handle that workload alone.

That might be the death blow

if Jack's injury that kept him out today was minor we'll be alright. he's been massive lately. he and the ox alongside arteta or flamini will be fine. I'd love to have Rambo, don't get me wrong, but I think Jack can grab this chance and run with it.

I just think Jack will always be missing one out of five games bc of some knock for the rest of his career. Just how he's built. Plus I think by far our most complete performances have come with Ramsey

everyone, including the Times, had tweets this morning saying we have a delegation in Germany negotiating the Draxler deal. January still seems unlikely, but we're pushing hard.

Be gettin it... Would be huge.

somehow I don't think you send a delegation unless things are close.
I have a feeling we won't be seeing top of the table the rest of this season. The fixture list is just too much given the current state of the squad due to injuries.
Winning the FA cup would be nice.

I would get on my knees to do something else if it meant getting Draxler this window

it'll be tough, but we'll see. i mean, i think we all knew at least City had a better shot to win the title. no need to get gloomy and doomy over yesterday. that shite happens. just have to hope spurs can get a result against City at home today.
flamini gets a 4 game ban bc of his red + yellow card accumulation. that's awesome!

oh shite...according to dem twits, report on Sky that Holtby will go back to Schalke on loan.............................................................................................................
i guess his agent said they're in the final phase, but a move back to the Bundesliga will be hard to realize. interesting.
