I thought gnabry did well. Villa did well for stretches defending us, he will be a good player, still only 18. Wilshere played like i wanted him to finally. Giroud was excellent, but also had some shite passes. At least he always tries to track back and defend when he gives it away. I still think we havent seen Ozil's best and some of his passes pissed me off. carzola had some nice shots, but gave the ball away that led to the goal. I like that we can grind these out, but we could have put them away in the first half and didnt.

Oh and two more injuries rt when we get gibbs and the ox back. I just hope we arent left with saying what if at seasons end.

I definitely didn't mean to imply that he performed poorly. He definitely did his job out there and yea he's going to be another gem for Arsenal. Non-existent was probably poor word choice.

Just watched Wenger's post match press conference, and I love how the last question always seems to come from Japanese media about why Ryo Miyaichi wasn't in the squad. Of course, Wenger is always very diplomatic about it and says something about he has a hamstring problem or whatever, but I would love one time for him to just come out and say he's just not up to it at league level. It's happened a few times recently, and you can tell Wenger is a little irritated by it.

Reports that well offer Schalke 35mm pounds for Draxler. They will laugh at that bid.

that's allegedly his release clause (42m euros)

interesting article looking at the statistical impact of pirlo and busquets in the context of Liverpool's search for a defensive mid: interesting thing is, arteta is the only player to comp to both.

I thought it was set higher when he signed a new deal. Oh well, don't think he moves in this window.

Arteta is perhaps the most underrated player of his time.

Dailymail reports that Draxler is injured and will be out until march. No official news yet.

Puts a new spin on things. Holtby to Schalke makes sense now. If Draxler is out until March they will want Holtby for their UCL match in February.

injury news on Draxler supposed to come out this week.

if we could get him for the same price, or even a wee bit less right now, I'd still do it. could give him time to settle into London without the pressure of having to perform early, could be a nice boost for a late title/FA Cup run. plus, i'm nervous he'll blow up at the World Cup then Real or ManU or City or someone else will offer him stupid money.

The real risk. Arsene knows this could easily happen. I'm starting to lean in our favor. Always a classic "glass mistake".

Do whatever it takes to get Draxler, IMO. Drax and Özil would be siick

I'm floating above my desk just thinking about the possibilities. I wouldn't even consider trying to go cheap. We have the money.

I can see Draxler being converted to striker position in the future. Wilshere-Ramsey-Ozil-Draxler. Future is bright.
