yeah we've discussed it before on here and the mirror said it today (that AW sees him as a striker a la rvp and Henry)

What kind of alternate dimension are we in right now? Arsenal with a chance to have the two biggest aquisitions in consecutive transfer windows? I'm not sure this is reality.

some reports saying Drax would be back by mid-February.

Rambo should be back Saturday. may not be good enough to start, though. at home vs fulham, i'm thinking

szcz
baccy-per-kos-gibbo
jack-flamini (unless Arteta is back)
Santi-ozil-poldi
giroud

Their UCL match is on the 19th I think. Probably wouldn't be match fit.

This is just a pipe dream, right?

not a pipe dream. there's still some hurdles to him coming this month that make me think it won't happen. if we can't get him this month, we still have as good a shot as anybody to get him in the summer.

Agreed. Time to start Podolski.

against big clubs, i think he should be a super sub. against smaller clubs, i think he should start more often to rotate.

I would like AW to splash the cash for Drax now even though he's hurt. I like the idea of Drax returning to form in March and having that quality for the end of the season. We can survive until March with the players we have now.

Poor Drax. Just being LINKED with Arsenal was enough to cause him injury.

rambo, arteta and tv5 out. arsene thinks they will be out for one more match (coventry).

monreal twisted a ligament in his foot and is a doubt. rosicky had surgery to repair his broken nose. may play with a mask.

Beowulf may be back for Coventry.

Apparently, Daniel Levy doesn't want to sell Lewis Holtby back to Schalke, because he doesn't want to see this face again, when Arsenal sign the Drax-Man...Draxula...D-Rax?

I thought he broke something in his foot. Is it a ligament issue?

that's all well and good, but Draxler is gone in the summer regardless of what he decides. We might not get him now if Holtby goes and we might not get him then if he doesn't...doesn't change the fact Draxler is on the way out at Schalke.

the worry was a metatarsal injury, but Arsene said he twisted a ligament in his foot.

for all this talk of Ozil underachieving, he's created the most goal-scoring chances in all of Europe this season with 58 (10 while with Real Madrid).

This seems like a little bit of an ignorant take to me. At least with the part about his move to striker would make him a false 9. English people tend to sound really dumb when discussing the false 9. if Wenger really thinks he's the next RvP or Henry, that wouldn't be a false 9...

regardless, interesting overall thought. i'm not sure i see an available striker out there worth the scrilla. i'd err on the side of trying to nab someone a lot of people think could be one of the best players in the world, very soon. i think we need to find another top MF soon to replace Arteta and Flamini but Draxler shouldn't stop that financially. Same with a CB and a RB.
