That's a strong side. I'm assuming we have Cazorla and Wilshere on the bench?

Wilshere is suspended. Podolski is tho!
I hope Rosicky is playing up wide and Ramsey is next to Arteta further back.

Big match. Let's get a win.

Ramsey looks awful today. Should they take him off?

What do we do going forward? Offensively lately it just seems like the squad is struggling a bit, sans the Man City match. What can we do to get more production from our Striker position? How do we get the wingers more directly involved in attack?
Soon we should have more options available to us, what players/formation/lineup will we decide to use to best help the team? Something is just not quite right with the attack, missing something.

It's easy to overreact, we haven't looked great offensively. But we scored against Everton who had the best defensive record in the league coming in, could've easily had two with giroud hitting the post. Man city we scored three and could've had five or six. And today Chelsea played for a 0-0 draw in the rain and the officiating was conducive to mourinhos negative football. Not to mention giroud missed two chances again.
We need to upgrade at striker

Yeah I'm keeping it in perspective, it's just that something isn't quite there, we aren't clicking as well as we were earlier in the year. We definitely need to bring in a 2nd striker, who that is I have no clue though. I don't think Arsenal dishes out tons of dough for one.

Giroud's form has been awful. We need some pace up there.
Other than that, I'm not too concerned. Don't know why Arsene didn't use the bench. I've not been pleased with his efforts over this four match winless streak.

This is our traditional time for winter struggles. We need to have a flawless January, then come out strong in the spring as we traditionally do in order to compete for the title.

Gotta think he's planning on a lot of rotation in the west ham game

Wenger:
Really, we created only 2 chances all match it seemed.

We should have won it. They came here to defend and catch us on the break. We were a bit edgy at the start but we took control in the second half and should have won it.
"It was a game of very few chances and we couldn't take ours. If you cannot win the game don't lose it.
"It was 100% a penalty when Theo Walcott was fouled, in my mind there is no doubt. I don't know why it was not given.
"I made no changes as we had a good balance and I felt that we had enough strength to see it through."

To be fair our best two chances came after the 80th minute when Chelsea had made subs and we didn't

Nah.
Again we get fricked by shitty calls.
frick Mike Dean. Obvious red card on JO Mikel and then an obvious penalty in the box.
Pretty even game. We just aren't creating enough chances, but Chelsea was packing back and playing on the counter.

I'm a giroud defender, but he should have at the VERY least 2 goals in the last 2 games. I know he does a lot well, but in the end a striker has to finish

frick Mike Dean. Seriously.

Benching Cazorla and starting Rosicky is not a good option. Rosicky is more like a super sub, not a starter.

that chart is old. we've won 2 or 3 matches he's done since then. plus a number of those matches were against top sides who we were worse than the past few years. doesn't excuse how awful he was yesterday. still can't believe the no PK call. he had the perfect angle.
rosicky was probably the right call yesterday imo. santi is out of form and rosicky's work rate is useful. he's also likely to move the ball quickly though his creativity isn't near as good. I would have brought on santi around the 70th. just to give us something different.
so first go round, we failed our big club tests pretty miserably. that said, if we win Thursday and pool lose, we'll be first halfway through. would be a pretty good start.

This is the problem- we don't seem to come out ready to play against the big sides.
