I really don't want to hear people talk about we need more depth this is just absurd. Six games into the season and we've lost Chamberlain, Podolski, Arteta, Cazorla, Rosicky, and maybe Giroud for extended periods of time. That's a player a game, no transfer policy can account for that

Except it feels like we have a run on injuries EVERY year. At some point transfer policy has to account for that.

But then when everyone is healthy we have guys making 60000 a week who don't see the field and everyone bitches about. It's just absurd you never see other teams constantly losing players for six weeks with "ankle knocks"

yeah..this extent is tough to account for, but it's hurting us because it was a weakness. with cups we need to rotate...we could have accounted for things better. especially the striker situation.

I agree on the striker issue. And in general we probably needed a bit more depth but losing an entire starting front six in the first six games of the season is pretty unforseeable. It's going to make our depth look a lot worse than it is. Even if it wasn't 100% ideal to begin with

we've got to start integrating Gnabry, Ryo, Eisfeld...we've also got to give Frimmy some PT. these guys can't play every match. that will only lead to more injury. one or two of those guys need to play a game.

At some point the plan had to be to get Gnabry and Ryo some pt beyond just carling cup. Might as well start now

yeah it will be interesting to see how RM meshes. as others have said, özil+CR+ADM is a more cohesive unit than bale+cr+isco. I'm sure they will find their way though.
