but Walcott without Sagna is null and void.
Makes a huge difference for Theo and the entire squad when Sagna is healthy.

Yea because Jenkinson is either scared to go pass the midway line or the coaches told him not to stray past it because of they are worried about him defensively.

I'm not. He hasn't shown much this season, imo. OX has been more threatening.

I think he meant Wojech.

We are playing more on the counter this game and it seems to suit the squad on the field. Mertersacker is a solid backup but we need Koscielny back. Jenkinson is a decent defender but he is nervous with the ball and makes ridiculous passes at times. Hurry back Bacary. Diaby is playing the best I have seen him in a long time. His dribbling is useful today against Pools pressure. He is also physically bossing their midfield. Still believe he is more of a squad player but he had done well today. Giroud needs a goal to take the pressure off of him. And our defense has looked solid again.

Agree on all statements.

Though, I do think Diaby can be a really solid player for Arsenal. He is still very much working his way back into the game. Have to remember he hasn't had a long stretch of games in a few years. Now, Wilshere will start over him when at full health, but Diaby is a more than viable replacement.

Diaby looked good...we will see if this is his typical 1 good game in 3 that we've seen throughout his career.

Offensively we seem to get a little better each week. Now if we could only get Giroud going. Our defense has been great. Three straight clean sheets is something to be proud of. Ox didn't look good today. Hope that doesn't trend. And everyone pray, religious or not, that Vermaelen's injury isn't serious. All in all we still haven't seen our best yet but it was a great win today.

Agreed. If he keeps it up, I may finally forgive him for that own goal against Man U.

As a team we looked really good. Defensively we are composed and never panic. Our ball rotation looked excellent at times. And it actually looked like we had a gameplan. We played a slightly deeper line, but pressed their midfield when they came into our half, which forced them wide, where good defensive work from the Ox and Podolski especially gave us a big advantage. Rather impressed by that professional performance.

I wonder if this could be a reason why Walcott isn't playing.

Probably. He will need to track back and be accountable in our new look system.
We still need some better work from the RW. Ox was average going forward, but him doubling down on Sterling helped Jenkinson out a lot. And Carl looked rather good. His passing was a lot better than in recent games.
Our offensive movement is on the cusp of being really awesome. Giroud is superb finding space. He needs a goal to settle his nerves, but he provides with running beyond the CB, something we haven't had since Henry.

What is up with Mannone not being strong in the air?
Also, I was impressed with Podolski's defensive play.
