Chamakh is a grafter who will run all day and hold up the ball. The goal scoring will have to fall to the wide players. Nasri stepped up when Chamakh was playing to provide goals. We just have to rely on other players, as with Chamakh we'll be a different team.

When Wilshere and Sagna come back Arsenal will be much improved. Theo is much better with Sagna behind him and Wilshere just opens the pitch up for everyone else.

Gervinho sucks in the final 3rd, he does great in that area until the final delivery/shot. Podolski I like his aggressive play and linkup with Cazorla, but I feel he isn't in the correct position and isn't getting the best chances to score. Walcott isn't really being utilized since Jenkinson can never deliver him the ball, and we simply aren't looking to his side. Ox really needs to get on the pitch, he can create, is aggressive dribbling at defenders and taking shots.

Diaby, and Ramsey want to pass the ball into the goal, and just aren't good enough finishers, not nearly aggressive enough.

Cazorla will get a goal eventually, he's had good shots from outside the box that haven't fallen. I'd love to get Arteta further up the pitch to link up with Cazorla and take shots from outside the box himself as well.

We have the offensive tools on attack we just are under utilizing them, haven't yet gelled enough, and are playing some people kind of out of position. More time to gain chemistry and tweak our strategy and we will be fine. But we are always injured, and we just don't have the quality depth the other top 3 sides have. We need to hold out hope for a healthy season.

I really had high hopes for this guy when we signed him but he usually just lets us down. I will say he does track back and make tackles but he just has no end product what so ever. It really doesn't pay to have the ability to dribble by most defenders with ease when most of the time it leads to nothing.

The problem is the starting 11 isnt healthy and never has been during thus drought. Wenger may be forced to make moves in january if we are struggling by then.

Having a healthy sagna and jack in form can make a world of difference. Plus kosc and rosiscky will add depth if kosc doesnt start.

Still i am very dissappoint cus we could win something with rvp and song on this team. If we dont stay healthy in the nack four we currently are starting, we can be fricked.

Here are two good articles. One on how we still had plenty of money left to spend this past transfer window which has left many supporters angry. Another window and again we made a profit off of our transfer dealings and refuse to bring in another player or two to help us challenge for a trophy. The other article is about Wenger who seems to be stuck in the past.

Arsenal face up to criticism from supporters after club poised to end transfer window in profit on player trading

The Last Word: The times are a-changing for Arsène Wenger, whose sad cries of loyalty are from a bygone era

Wenger isn't wrong about any of that. He's especially right in this regard.

We've lived by the youth policy, and we will die by it if we have to. I really think the problem is in the boardroom and not Wenger. I'm sure we will go after Capoue or M'vila in January if we are still not getting the type of productivity we need. We could also go to Russia to raid Doumbia, Dzagoev, or Honda.

But I really think we'll be alright. In our first two games, we've taken 40 shots. That's tied for Everton for first in the league. We've only had five shots on target though, and that has to improve. We will be fine if we continue to play the way we are.

@DarrenArsenal1 has an interesting theory. Arsene has two years left on his contract. He is trying to lock everyone up long-term and is leaving considerable funds in the bank (conservative estimate ~£35mil, right now). Our commercial sponsorships will add at least £40mil a year to our bottom line and will come in as his contract expires. Could be Wenger is setting things up for his successor...

Why not? Then it becomes life with Pep.

That would make me cream actually. If we are going to continue to be hampered by the stadium debt, then we might as well go Luchiano Spalleti.

Also and I know it may seem a bit reactionary but WTF didn't we sign Dembele? 15 million for a player with his quality is a good deal. Not to mention the fact he plays a position we can use help at. So frustrating.

I really like Dembele. Too bad he's scum now.

Also if we can poach Michael Laudrup that'd be fantastic. Seems like a excellent coach.

Laudrup seems like a good shout. And just imagine our team with Dembele in it instead of Diaby or Ramsey.

I've been calling for Dzagoev since 2009 after his game against Man U at Old Trafford. I have the game on my hard drive somewhere. He was amazing that game.
