Nice pic. Thanks for the beer. Funny that I had a full conversation with Sophandros without knowing who he was.

Good times today. 3 points is nice, especially when we seemed to take our foot off the gas in the 2nd half. Let's hope we get a result next weekend against united.

I just saw the Giroud red card replay. Is stepping on the ball to pull it back not allowed now?

Any chance he gets his 3 match ban repealed?

My understanding is that there is not much of one because it was a straight red given in response to a violent/reckless challenge.

Frick. Naturally City has to go and lay down for the chickens.

I dunno, anyone who argued that he was good at the beginning of the season is still wrong. If you just said he has potential when played in the correct position then sure

He was off his game, everyone could see that, he wasnt a lost cause. But he has played quite a few positions for us and i think thats been to his benefit. He is looking more fit and stronger now and has been playing harder than most every one else. Still a young guy and hope he just continues to improve.

Couple of miss placed passes yesterday, but seemed the whole team let off the gas and would just give shitty hospital balls. Again was one of the harder workers.

Giroud red card may be good. Needs some rest.

What are our chances of finishing ahead of Chelsea? I think pretty good.

From March 30 through May 12th, Chelsea will have played 14 games. That's 14 games in 44 days, or 1 game every 3.14 days.

Now, if they advance to the Europa League final, they will play 16 games from March 30 through May 19th, or 1 game every 3.19 days.

They still have to play ManU at Old Trafford, Swansea, Tottenham (fighting for top 4), Everton (fighting for top 4), and Aston Villa (fighting relegation), so it seems that their schedule is pretty rough.

This is just brutal. To do a game every 3 days for 2 months is just astonishing. You figure fatigue has to set in eventually.

Arsenal, on the other hand, play ManU at home next Sunday (hopefully they will have a championship hangover), QPR and Newcastle away, and Wigan at home. QPR shouldn't be a problem since they are god awful, and I'm glad we're playing Wigan at home because I know they'll put up a fight.

What do y'all think?

I know. Just saying there is actually a shot. If(huge if)we take the points on Sunday we have a small shot. Any points I think basically gives us top 4.

Giroud's ban is upheld, which means we see a new striker. God I hope we start Theo upfront with Ox on the right. I don't really want to see Gervinho or Podolski upfront.

Gervinho isn't as terrible as he is on the wing when he plays striker. He's not terrible at all until he gets to the final third. He just has the touch of a retard whenever he's around the box.

I thought Gervinho had a decent spell of form out wide on our recent run, then one bad game and he's back in the doghouse.

I just hope Rosicky or Cazorla plays the CAM role. We are undeniably better with them up there as opposed to Jack. Since it's United, I doubt we'll go with an all-attack front 3 so I'm sure Santi will start out left.

Gervinho always finds the right place at the right time, brilliant at getting in position.....

.... But when he gets the ball in those positions, full retard mode engaged

I'm sure you all have seen the Jovetic rumors running around. The latest ones are stating he has already agreed to personal terms with the club (~100,000/week) and 24mil fee but whether or not the deal goes through is dependent upon our CL status for next season.

blah blah I know it's likely not true rumors etc, but have any of you watched him a decent amount? Who would you most compare him to in style (out of commonly seen strikers or even compared to other EPL/CL fwds)? y'alls thoughts on whether he would do a better job of filling RVPs shoes?
