The building the professional league bullshite needs to stop. The MLS's growth has done almost nothing to help the USMNT. It's done much more for the other concacaf countries and the second tier South American countries

Yes we do and time to bring them in and get experience.

Of course something has to change, it starts at the top. New US Soccer head and a new coach. Your result last night was foolish.

For some quality? Our best players play abroad and that is where our players need to play to get better. Playing for a top 20 club in Europe is a hell of a lot better than playing in the MLS.

Playing at the top or second flight of most European is better than playing in the MLS

Yea I'm not sure why he thinks nothing should happen after we built for basically 3 years to what we saw last night....it took us 3 years to get to losing to T&T to miss the World Cup....yea nothing should change

I just can't believe that he would make those same comments the next day. Right after the game I can see that he would be defensive in saying that everything is fine. But the day after? I would believe that he would say a lot is wrong with US soccer...And a lot is.

There's the problem in a nutshell.

Even if MLS became a fricking juggernaut, it would do it predominantly because of foreign talent - which would not be on the US National team. Top flight US players would still be going to Europe between now and when the impossible happens.

Jurgy did a lot of things wrong, but he knew MLS was not the place to find a lot of talent for the squad.

I am not sure that we built anything in the last 3 years. That roster was loaded with old arse players who are past their prime.

The average age of our roster is 29. Only 10 of 26 players on our roster are younger than 30.

For contrast Germany had one player over 30 play in a single international match this year, and it was a friendly.

Didn’t Bruce promise “We will not fail”?

Seems like honor would compel him to resign after failing in every sense of the word.

I know he was probably the only one to take over, but I've disliked him for a long time. He just looks uninterested and was completely arrogant over the last 18 months.

Ugh.

Yeah his doubling down on MLS players and being so arrogant and lack of motivation skills played a large part
