Barca vs Atletico ladies drew 67K people today

To be fair I don't think they draw that again.

The ladies need to be honest with themselves. Outside of the World Cup and Olympics they don't gather that much interest. I don't know the earnings between men's and women's games but after attending both the women's matches are the cheaper ticket.

true but even a 3rd of that is more than most in the league here who play a ton of matches at soccer complex stadiums that seat 3K tops

Wikipedia lists the smallest NWSL stadium having a 4k capacity (Maryland SoccerPlex). 5 of the 9 teams play in a stadium that holds 10k or less:

Maryland SoccerPlex 4k
Yurcak Field 5k
Cheney Stadium 6.5k
BBVA Compass Stadium 7k (actually holds 22k)
WakeMed Soccer Park 10k

Portland (go figure) is the only club that draws a respectable crowd. They average around 15k I think. I don't really know how you can make women's sports more watchable.

I swear it's like you don't even try to read. I don't give a damn about the NWSL. Crack jokes about their shitty attendance all you want, but saying most of their stadiums hold 3k max is just wrong. I couldn't name you a single stadium they played in until your post got me curious.

Americans appreciate the spectacle more than the sport. It’s why we still watch American football, which is objectively terrible

Didn't they dominate last world cup and win it all?
The team this year is probably better than that of last world cup too.

I care about accuracy?

Then why were you talking about capacity?

If I was a USSF apologist or whatever you want to call me, then shouldn't I be supporting your claim that no one goes to their games and they play at the local YMCA since they are suing the USSF for equal pay (even though I don't see what the NWSL has to do with the lawsuit)?

They won it but were far from dominate and the next year got knocked out the Olympics in the first knock out game.

You can see the program slipping esp with the pro ranks in other countries growing. Its clear USSF took shite for granted.

That's probably generous at best. That 2015 team had a veteran roster and had been together for a long time. Plus like her or not, Hope Solo was the best women's GK of all time. This year's incarnation has not looked dominant at all.
