We did buy him a while back, plus he's English so there's that too

which makes it worse due to player transfer fee's going up with inflation

Demichelis blows, so that evens things out a bit.

More food for thought... And IMO, even crazier...
Marouane Fellaini cost more than 3 times the cost of Juventus' top 4 rotating MF's combined.. Pirlo, Marchisio, Vidal and Pogba.. And to top it off, Pogba was on their books and left for free...

This is completely irrelevant to the topic at hand. Moyes is an idiot we know this.
0/10 sir

The Kompany figure is insane. What a good
investment.
Zabaleta also pretty good. Meh on Demichalis - thats about his worth.
Johnson was likely worth that at the point he was bought - he just wasn't worth it with his performance since.
I can even respond about the wages being factored in since I know Glen is definitely one of our higher paid guys.
But hey, if you really want to flame, why wouldn't you bring up big Andy or Downing?

Demichelis is very underrated. He has been solid this season. Had Suarez in his fricking pocket a few weeks ago. A high profile red card distorts public opinion on him, and Kompany being untouchable despite an okay season from him contributes as well.

Its not even a flame. Its just crazy b/c Liverpool backline has been its downfall even with the money they have paid for their players(£15 million for Sakho) . It was something that was brought up on Sky this morning and I'd thought i would share .

Kompany has a few years of solid performance built up. Yes, he's struggled at times this season, mostly due to trying to play through some injuries.
Demichelis has had some good games - I didn't think he did particularly well or bad against Liverpool. He's steady and on point, he just doesn't provide much more than that. That trait alone makes him worth something, and a good player on a team that doesn't need too much extra attacking ability.
He's a guy that just doesn't seem to fit the rest of the ManCity World Class profile. But you need those guys that just show up and do their job and usually don't mess up.

There is a reason Demichelis was cheap.

Yup. On the whole, he's had just a solid season.
BUT he has had some great matches lately when we've needed them.

What would VK be worth on the open market today?
20 million pounds?
30 million pounds?
50 million pounds?
Do center backs get corner back money?
