Toronto just got a new GM this month. Probably wanted to go in a new direction and get some money for Gio while they still could. It sounds like they are already have an in-prime DP replacement in mind.

It also looks like Altidore won't be with Toronto for much longer, either.

chelsea fans are going to hate pulisic so much.
it's going to be such a cluster frick....especially if Hudson-Odoi leaves in the summer, and succeeds elsewhere.

GKN official loan move to Monaco from Spurs is complete.

Anybody else think this one is a tad weird?

This stuff isn’t going away though, he’s gone at the end of the season

The only way they could keep him is to show he will get game time and to do that they have to play him. He’s done what other young players have started to do and decided not to fall for false promises.

Let’s not pretend this is a new situation, he didn’t just decide on Saturday that he wants more playing time and isn’t happy so put in a request.

It’s like Chelsea have decided we want to keep you and to prove how much we do we will not play you.

He probably wanted more money

He says he would have accepted less to stay. Sounds like TFC were being cheap.

He's appeared in five matches this month alone. He started three of them. He just turned 18 two months ago. He's only been a member of the senior squad for about a year.

Not playing him one match after denying his transfer request, a mere 3 days after he played 90 minutes (something he hasn't done really in the senior squad), is hardly saying "let's show you how much we want you by not playing you."

The club clearly wants him. They've said it. They've shown it this month. If he leaves, it's because he doesn't believe Chelsea will continue to do this or because his head has been turned by Bayern so much it doesn't matter. But Chelsea is doing as much as possible to show him they want him. The fans are singing his name every match. They want him to stay and are showing it far more than they did with other young guys we've lost.
