The Chelsea way?

Honestly I wouldn’t have a problem with that, well maybe to a better club, but he’d be playing every match...and maybe he’d get the chance to play centrally and develop there, while developing more of an attack... which would benefit the USMNT long term. I think he’s really going to struggle for minutes next year at Dortmund assuming he stays and that team remains healthy. Wouldn’t be surprised if he plays fewer minutes next year than he did this year.

Sky sources understand Chelsea and Roma interested in signing Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel. Both will need to buy new No 1s if they sell Courtois and Alisson this summer.

Not sure if posted but Timothy Tillman was loaned to FC Nurnberg. He'll get a chance to play in the Bundesliga this year

€100M has been rumored to have been accepted by RM, according to a Spanish TV sports panel (Pedrerol and company).

Seems the offer is correct, but there is absolutely no other confirmation of RM having taken it.

I never believe any report about Barcelona or Real Madrid. Seems like there's almost no reliable coverage of either of those teams.

GOATnaldo is my favorite player, and without watching him I don’t ever think I would have gotten into soccer. That said he had a huge impact in my becoming a Real fan, but it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world to move on from him. He is still one of the best players in the world, but for that amount of money they are offering, and the young talent on the team we can still be ultra competitive in Europe and La Liga. If the rumors are true that he doesn’t get along with some of the younger players, especially Isco and Kovacic, then for the future of the club it’s best they got their separate ways.

Seems like there is a lot of smoke around this... It could make sense for RM, but doesn't really for Juve, unless they think this one move could get them the UCL in the next season or two... beyond the transfer fee, the wages would be astronomical..

This. They are on espns transfer window reports everytime they put one out. I think they were 0/100 last season.

Definitely not a move that fits with Juve's philosophy the past decade.

However, I think you're right in that their logic would be that winning a CL trophy would be worth it even if they end up paying for the final season or 2 of his contract when he's capable of lesser impact.

As expensive as CR7 would be, I suppose he would replace Higuian who will command at least 1/2 of that transfer fee and they would need to re-up on a 4 year deal with his massive wages to keep anyway.

Ronaldo would make a lot of their money back in the first week through kit sales

Yeah, the marketing profits would be pretty considerable. Also, Serie A is currently negotiating overseas TV rights as well with Juve pushing for biggest clubs getting larger piece of the pie.

As a Roma fan, I really don't care if they win CL or not but would hope this potential move means they cut spending a bit on their 2nd team.

Their 1st team isn't head and shoulders above Roma, Napoli and Inter but how they win the league every season is a 2nd team full of high level veterans.

I mean this is their 2nd team: Not easy to compete with the results they get while resting starters and playing these backups.

Szczesny

Asamoah -- Barzagli (+Howedes) -- Benatia -- De Sciglio

Khedira -- Marchisio -- Bentancur

Cuadrado -- Mandzukic -- Bernandschi

Their shares have gone up 7'27% on the Italian bourse, since these rumours surfaced.

They could pay for him (though I doubt he goes there).

According to r/soccer the source of this tweet is tier 1 for CR7 news.

As usual, I’ll believe it when I see it but this rumor seems to have some legs
