Kinda disappointed with the match as its going on right now. Portugal have sat back and are only playing long balls down the wings. They aren't pressing up high on Spain's defenders nor closing out Spain's midfielders quickly.

Spain starting to completely take over the possession and slow down play a great deal.

Portugal has looked more threatening trying to hit Spain on the counter

Spain is starting to assert themselves since Fabs and Navas came onto the pitch. Negs was pretty useless in the first half.

Alba attempted to (legally) muscle Ronaldo off of the ball and fell over
Cristianito knocked him over. I agree, not a foul, it was the result of a legal challenge. What chaps my arse is his continuing on, and then fricking diving, when he sees he's at a disadvantage.

Well, that's because that is where Portugal's biggest advantage, and Spain's biggest weakness is

Spain's lack of width, and Portugal's threatening wingers plays right into catching Spain's fullbacks pressed up too high on a counter.

At least there is some physical play. This is starting to feel like a Spain goal is soon to come.

Darke must live in the Algarve region of Portugal. He works hard to pronounce the Portuguese surnames properly, and bitches continuously about Spain.

I know it's the correct way to say it, but I love hearing "Meirelesh".

Truthfully, I saw him try to put the ball between Ramos's legs and got distracted before he fell over

I will agree, though, that Ronaldo has been in rare form with his histrionics today

These players diving left and right, all the foul calls, and the cards. Please just make it stop on both sides

Spain settled in with more possession after the changes, and Portugal sitting further back. Spain might have to press forward for a goal, but Portugal are still very dangerous going forward quickly. So Spain can't afford to get caught going forward too high.

Sure, but I can understand why they've stopped putting Spain under pressure. It wasn't leading to anything
