The deal is that after peace the US would invest in Ukraines economy to get these sectors of their economy operating and the U.S. would expect to share in the profits up to $500 billion for paying for the war and helping Ukraine to build this part of their economy.

So the US has to invest in getting this actor of the economy going. The US investment in these areas creates security.

This is a partnership where both countries benefit. Not a unilateral project.

I would have expected some sort of contract documentation by the Biden administration that describes the terms of the various parts of the 500 billion dollar transfer. If that does not exist, then the US has no claim for repayment
