I'll add that I don't really like Putin and that I know he's corrupt as hell and is literally KGB. But, that said....

I think he sees what we (some of us) see here in the US. He sees the windswept wildfire spread of Islam and "immigrant culture" and understands that basically no one outside of Communist China is immune to that- and since Mao, China's stated goal has been world dominance. That would include Russia.

A true, cooperative "ride-or-die" relationship with Russia could change the entire world and save Western Civilization if the right people are committed and devoted to making it work.

I'd honestly love to visit Russia and Siberia in the warm months. See the Kremlin, the Moskva, etc., fish for the rare and prized Taimen which exists nowhere else in the world. But I wouldn't dream of ever going there when our nations have been programmed to be enemies. The cold war didn't end with the collapse of the Soviet Union, because our respective three-letter agencies have done their absolute best to keep the spycraft and subterfuge alive and well.

This is really good discourse and I wish more people were involved and could see it.

China is stealing EVERYONE's intellectual property and using spycraft to keep powerful western civilizations from aligning. They're watching the Islamic Extremists slowly infiltrate and destroy western nations and remaining completely silent while the CCP itself imprisons Muslims and permanently detains them in slave-labor camps, even going as far as harvesting their organs. The CCP influence has grown dramatically in the Middle-East, South America, north Africa and even the tropics and central America. It's slow and steady, and they're just subtly stirring the pot and waiting for the right moment to make their move when these nations are destroying themselves.

I said that I don't like Putin and I meant it. But he is a formidable national leader and he is far from stupid, credit where due. I know he's not blind to China's "big-pictire" goals. If the CCP decided to come after Russia, there's nothing the Bear could do except for let the nukes fly and catalyze mutually assured destruction. Nobody wants that. And if western nations want to preserve themselves and exist in the future, they're going to have to wipe the slate clean and start anew in a cooperative symbiosis.
