Then we’ve learned nothing from history. How did appeasement work out with Hitler?
2022 and 1938 are so far apart in time and circumstances that there is nothing to learn from studying Hitler and appeasement.
Russia made it known to the USA that Russia had security and border concerns that it wanted to solve through policy and politics. The USA offered no peaceful solution. As such, Putin executed the "Clausewitzian Option" and settled these political questions using OTHER methods besides politics, i.e. armed conflict.
The USA is powerless to do anything besides continue buying Russian oil and whining.

And secondly, it was the English that appeased Hitler, not the US.
The lesson applies to the Democratic West as a whole - when one of these types starts going imperial giving them an inch only emboldens them.
Had Russia been met at the Ukrainian border by a unified Western military response Putin would have his tail between his legs and this would all be over.
But we blinked just like he thought we would.

Now is the time for military intervention - we’re literally being invited into Ukraine unlike the Middle East.
You want to fight the Russians?
Then carry your arse over there and shoulder a rifle. Talk is cheap.

Again, we have 30 years of war in the Me that says this is a mistake. This is Europe’s problem. Let them handle it. I don’t give 2 fricks about the government of Ukraine and their corrupt asses. I feel for the people of Ukraine, but again, this is gutless Europe’s fight. We bled enough for the West.

The big difference is that the Ukrainians are set up to govern themselves once we’re gone.

Germany had the capability to take most of Europe. Russia does not.

Should have joined NATO. But, we could help with refugees and health services.

Did you block out all the accusations of “American Imperialism” over the past few decades? Again, I don’t want any Ukrainians to die but American hands are not clean enough to be calling other countries imperialists. We’ve sent too many “military advisors” and funded too many coups to go toe to toe with a nuclear power when they do it to a neighbor.

He’s criticizing us for not declaring World War III. If it happens, we’re fricked.

Do you morons really want WWIII? Because that’s what the No Fly Zone would result and is basically an open declaration of war against Russia.

Hitler didn’t have nukes, and if he did, he would have launched them all in his Berlin bunker at the end of the war.

Just stop and think about how retarded you sound for repeating this propaganda. Step away for awhile

On one hand, he and Ukraine can go screw themselves, the ungrateful brats
On the other, we'd all be doing the same thing, using whatever ploys we had available to get help for your country on the brink of extinction

I guess he thought Pedo Joe would bail him out because of all the money he washed for him. It sucks that the amount of civilians being killed means nothing to them

Yea and if he takes another country it will be a nato country and we are at war anyway.
It’s not like we are giving him time to strengthen like Hitler. The longer his pathetic economy goes with these sanctions and he takes body blows in Ukraine the better.
