The black man in the video basically said they need white people back in control haha

I have heard the same regarding S Africa and Zimbabwe. Rhodesia was once the gem of Africa.

I'm starting to wonder - based on what I see all over the world - can Black people properly govern themselves and thrive? Its sad to think that maybe they can't.

You just answered your own question. Reality and facts are hard to deny.

That’s a Denis Leary routine about NYC traffic.

There is no data anywhere that suggests this is true...white on white violent crime is about 12 in 1000 while black on black violent crime is about 16 in 1000. That is across ALL economic classifications.

YouTube - the worst place in America

He sees crumbling infrastructure, neglect, burnt out homes, broken water lines, and decaying public services.

There is even a tree growing in a pothole. Looks like it’s been there a while.

It's a little bit of Zimbabwe here in America. Demprogs have a habit of doing that.

There was an unanticipated downside to desegregation.

Most older people in the black community would agree that desegregation had a huge negative effect.

But there were several successful black communities in the past.. they were destroyed.

Jackson is a wreck. Democrats have been in charge of the city for a while now. The Mayor said he wanted the most radical city in the country and he got it.

I was in Jackson the last two weekends and was born there. Moved away decades ago.

Belhaven is the final stand for those that haven’t moved to Madison/Ridgeland or Brandon/Flowood, and it’s depressing.

>Being objective, if you are analyzing quality of life, one of the first factors would have to be % of blacks living in the city. Above 10%- 15% or so and I’m guessing the social pathologies become obvious quick.

Any Laffies want to comment on this? Last I heard you were 68%-28% (whitest city over 100K in the non-mountain South)

I watched the full 40+ minutes of this video.

One local toward the end suggested that maybe it's too far gone to repair, so do nothing and make people leave, then bulldoze and rebuild. That isn't a bad strategy.

Depressing as hell though.

Extremely basic shite like potable water from the tap and garbage pickup, non-existent.

Black people of Jackson, this is on you. White people wouldn't put up with this shite, even in the shitty poor drug infested rural white towns. They'd have the mayor tarred and feathered in the streets if they didn't have the very basic shite like water. But yall in Jackson, you put up with it, so they are going to keep doing it.

I disagree. I grew up in rural western Arkansas.

All of the little towns there and schools are basically all the same as they were 20 years ago. Not really growing, but not really shrinking. Just country people sending their kids to the same schools they grew up going to.

There's a little more drug use, probably, but the main streets are about as active as I can recall them ever being. Hell they got em a Dollar General to go along with their Walmart. And a McDonald's to go with the Sonic Drive In now.

People seem pretty content.

(the area south of Fayetteville down to DeQueen is probably 85% white folks and a little bit of Azn and Latino mixed in, fyi)

FWIW, the video of the “Super Nice Part” beginning at about 21:21 that “seems like a different state” IS from a different state. A street sign clearly shows Clairmont Avenue in the Birmingham neighborhood of Forest Park.

Screenshot from the video:

Remember:

They don’t March and protest because the water service is spotty.

They don’t March and protest because the sewer overflows

They don’t March and protest because of the potholes

They don’t March and protest because of the trash situation

They don’t March and protest over the blight

They don’t March and protest over the schools

They don’t March and protest over the drugs

They DO March and protest and the NAACP sues over the state trying to increase patrols and prevent more crime with the Capitol police.

Watch that video and try to wrap your head around that.

Again. They want it. They vote for it. They can have it.
