I know guys who have never voted democrat in their lives but voted for them this cycle.
Why? The democrats showed all throughout Bidennthey dodnt know what was going on with inflation. The rate drops a bit under Trump, but not enough for some and it's back to democrats? Senseless.

Folks forget the decade of actions by Germany and Russia prior to Poland, which is a shame. Especially the war in Spain where Germany got to train and sharpen their military heading into Poland.

Not me. I read For Whom the Bell Tolls.

But we have 0.0% chance of being allied with Russia against NATO or the EU.

How did it rank on other EH books you read?

There was a pretty good B&W movie about that war made in like the 1950's. Spain at that time was quite interesting. First, they are the only country in the world to report about a new virus, so it was named after them, The Spanish Flu. Second, they are the only country to allow the Germans to play war games heading into World War II.

10 years ago, I agree with you, and you would be correct. Today with so much false news, probably 1/3 of the American public now blindly fee the Russians are friends and Ukraine is the enemy. That is where it gets hairy and scary.

I haven’t read a lot of them. The Old Man and the Sea; and a Farewell to Arms. I thought it was a good book. A little slow like everything he wrote, but punctilious sentence structure and concise writing. I liked when the Spanish brigand was making fun of the protagonist for being English (he was American), and he kept asking him what he had under his kilts. Exasperated, the American finally answers “Los cojones”. I read it about 30 years ago, but that part stood out.
