You just have to laugh at this point. Boasberg is the judge on the Meta antitrust trial.

IDK if I'm correct but I get the impression Instagram is the crown jewel of Meta. FB is dying a slow death but Insta seems to continue with its popularity.

Crazy days. This is why 11/5/24 was crucial. We are engaged in an epic battle of Dirty vs. Clean and, ultimately, Good vs. Evil, but at least the good guys are finally back in the fight.
PS - Just curious. Maybe it happened and I missed it, but has a single lawyer on this board bothered to weigh in on this rogue, bought-and-paid-for judge? You'd think members of the legal profession would be embarrassed regarding what this so-called judge is doing, along with the obvious fact that the corrupt system is propping him up.

There once existed a great republic where citizens could rely on justice to be served by a fair and impartial process which mediated disputes between parties in disagreement.
Nowadays we get boasberg and sfp, but trump is the bad guy for threatening the ruse.

Not really. We know he is Chief Justice Roberts' buddy. I think they were roommates or something like that.
There sure seems to be a lot of firewalls in strategic positions.

I dont use social media outside of occasional X lurking, the mrs is on Instagram though
Not really sure how a antitrust suit has any merit when there are competitors like X, Tik Tok etc. Social media is also a natural monopolistic industry... The whole point for the consumer is everyone is using the same platform

They’re all incredibly valuable. Facebook drives the revenue and they’re seeing substantial user growth in their messaging and picture/short video platforms.

The problem is that they are now a de facto free speech utility and pretty monopolistic. And they also exercise arbitrary censorship upon the platform.
Just as Ma Bell was broken up, so should Meta should be shifted to not be able to control the free discourse among free people.
