I have never seen such hate from the left since Trump announced he was running for President. Sad part is most have been brainwashed by the MSM.
After Trump got elected, I saw rational people that I know get in a huddle and talk like a cult/hive mind.
Read/watch 1984 and how they rile up hatred for a man named “Goldstein”. 2 minutes of hate. It’s to control the masses.
Better to read the book. Explains such things much better than the movie.

Additionally, pointing out stupidity in no way means the out-group of that stupidity is being supported. This is a secondary irrationality that's developed on here that also requires/deserves being pointed out, in kind.
