They realize Trump means business. They say they will dump their nuclear program. Trump will reward them with whatever. North Korea economy gets better. Democratic president gets elected in 2020. NOKO starts their nuclear program again. Democratic president typically becomes a pussy and does nothing. Big win for NOKO.

Well what they probably aren't counting on is that sometime in TRUMP'S second term the public outcry will be so great for Our President that the constitution will be changed allowing him to run for more than two terms. TRUMP will be President for life.

NoKo’s program getting shut down, even temporarily, halts their support of the Iranian program.
Halting that support combined with sanctions can help destroy the Iranian program despite all the bribes made to western officials to look the other way.
Even a short term victory here can pay long term dividends.

They would definitely love for a weak US President to end the economic sanctions and maximum pressure Trump is putting on. 2015 was manageable. This isn't.

Trump should have congress approve the deal so that it stays after he leaves. Either the deal is approved or Democrats vote against the deal and take a chance that NK nukes us and they the blame .

Also to guard against this we would need to have NK completely destroy its nuclear facilities, not just shut them down.
