We all really know why they're doing both, but one side doesn't want to say so because it is "their" team doing most of it (I'm somewhat disappointed in Abbott, but he's Texas' problem).

Vote with your feet. If a place doesn't allow me in without a mask I go to a competitor.
This week I played my first round of golf at Huntington since Mar 1. I boycotted because they had restricted tee times due to Covid until this week.
BUT, they made me wear a mask to sign in. I told them 'This is my last round here until the democrats who run this place get sane'.
I will just keep playing the 3 other courses on my rotation that don't require any masks.

Here’s the difference btwn a seatbelt and a mask.
A seatbelt actually makes me safer. If you hit me
In your car, I am much less likely to get hurt. Further, the mandate of a seatbelt in Louisiana was actually passed by the legislature.
A mask just makes you feel safer. I we bump into each other at Whole Foods you have the same likelihood of getting the Covid whether I’m wearing a mask or not. Further, the random mask unintelligible edict was just announced on Facebook.
