You don't get a bright red hat like that, to faded white due to contrast issues.
I think the artifact is actually in the dead person photo. The shoes in the video are clearly white. The red/yellow artifact in the dead photo was either natural (poor quality), artificially added (photoshop), or could be partial blood stains.
