Sure worked like a charm in the Soviet system.

I guess you can say I am prejudiced to thoses who say for certain "there is no God cause I know there is not".

Arrogant and the sign of a non questioning mind and heart. Thats why I would not vote for a person who held that view. Seems closed minded to me.

Is the person the best person for the job?

Their religion really shouldn't play any part in it.

Not necessarily true. A person's religion is typically a very important part of who they are, if they are "practicing", that is. In such cases, their religious convictions can be a large influence on their actions and behaviors.

A pro-life Christian may take a different approach to pushing through challenges to Roe V Wade compared to someone who doesn't have a conviction on the subject (or who believes that pro-choice is right for the country).

Most atheists don't claim certainty

I would argue your characterization is far more common among the religious who know for certain not only God exists but their specific idea of God. Furthermore, they frequently blindly accept nonsensical and impossible stories because of that certainty.

I'd assume just the general logic behind the atheist position. It has nothing to do with "belief." It is more apt to say that there is a sufficient lack of evidence to tip me over into the "belief" in a higher power, and so I remain in the default position of having a world view with no higher power.

I make no claim that my view is absolutely correct. And, further, I'd willingly change my opinion if presented with sufficient evidence.

Atheist answers the question "Do you believe in god", agnostic answers the question "Does god exist".

Most atheists are technically agnostic atheists, meaning they do not believe in god based on all the evidence available but cannot say for certain one doesn't exist.

It's inherently impossible to disprove a being which supposedly exists outside of the physical universe. All that can be disproven are some specific claims made by various religions involving the physical universe.

Can I shorten all that.

Atheist don't believe in God.

Agnostics are skeptical.

Not complicated.

Why can't yall own it

This is the very definition of a agnostic not a atheist. Show me something that disproves this not your twisting of definitions. I'm open to hear it.

Most atheist are agnostic atheist?
Like most murderers are pro life?

Agreed

Agnostic atheism is the default position, one must be taught religion. Nobody would ever arrive naturally at specific religious dogma.

You might say it takes some sort of revelation in order to come by it.

So you believe that individual Native Americans are born with the innate belief in the spirit and the great father cosmos? As he (or it?) is particularly described in their oral traditions?

They are not mutually exclusive terms, and in fact usually occur together.

They weren't born believing that.
