The Fair Tax is the best plan.

Illegal aliens, prostitutes, drug dealers, gamblers, and other folks who avoid paying income taxes would begin paying taxes.

Manufacturing jobs would come to America.

The IRS would go away.

This is the best plan.

Problem is the federal government would find a way to do both.

All taxpayers are given a monthly reimbursement at beginning of month for necessary expenses based on family size.

You take home your ENTIRE paycheck.

22-24% embedded corporate income taxes already baked into the retail price of everything you buy is replaced with 23% NRST at register.

Prices stay the same. You have more money.

If Trump were to promise to support the above during this election cycle, with an added promise to veto any and all spending legislation (even "emergency appropriations") until an acceptable bill accomplishing this reached his desk, I would register to vote again.

None of this can happen because there are too many lobbyists for law firms and businesses that work within the loopholes. No need for HR Block if the tax form is a 3x5 card.

People making big money to hide within the system and want to keep it as complicated as possible. How much does mini Mike pay for those thousand pages and how much did those preparers save him.

Those people buy more law makers than the Political Board.

No exemptions or deductions???...that would really piss the IRS off, how/why would/could they audit?

As long as the rate is 0%, I'm down with it.

Sadly, you are correct. Which is why I haven't bothered to look up the fl.gov website for registration information

I mean, I would be OK with it, but this isn't really the problem. The brackets aren't really the complicating factor.

The various exemptions, credits, deductions and definitions of "income" are the issue. A flat tax fixes none of that.

Flat tax is the best way. No class division. Dems dividing one segment against the other. No big convoluted tax crap to fill out. Everyone pays the same percentage! More transparency... you want to raise taxes, everyone gets hit. People would remember hmmm... when I was a child the tax rate was X. Why is it double now with no increase in services. Less cheating taxes. It is just fair.

I would love a flat tax. Why should I pay a higher % because I work harder. Are we not all supposed to be equal?
