Citizenship for all the 800k DREAMERS but congress passes a law ending birthright citizenship for good, and no more anchor babys.

Deal?

Not on principle, but yes I would support it.

After reading the required change in the constitution, I change my mind and vote "No".

Yep.

But it has to be part of the SAME legislation.

I've seen what happens when you get a this for that promise from liberals.

That said. I'm not sure a law banning birthright citizenship would pass constitutional muster. Would it?

Yes, but Congress never does anything that helps this country, so it will never happen.

ending birthright citizenship would require an amendment to the constitution.
that's two thirds of both houses of Congress and then ratification by three fourths of the state legislatures.

I think you're going to see the 800,000 get their amnesty and Trump won't get shite. mark it

No. Giving amnesty and citizenship to 800 thousand opens the flood gates on them importing millions of family members. As long as there is the granting of citizenship on the table, I say not only no, but hell no.

Congress can't pass a law ending birthright citizenship as SCOTUS has ruled that the 14th gives exactly that. It would take a Constitutional Amendment to change that.

Some yall are just ignorant.

Yes, but with stipulations based on employment and/or education. They shouldn't get a free pass because they are already here.

That is what I don't understand about my Mexican friends. They are all pissy about Trump's policies, yet they have been waiting in line like good minions for 20 years for a freaking Green Card and/or permanent residency. It's ludicrous and I would be pissed AF.
