Belle Chasse is home to the 159th fighter wing which operate the A-10 Warthogs.

By "A-10" do you mean "F-15?" The A-10's were USAFR which moved to Whiteman AFB, Missouri, years ago.

The 159th still operates A-10s from Belle Chasse but you are correct the USAF did consolidate most of the Warthogs to Missouri (442nd Fighter Wing) but some are still based in Belle Chasse as part of the new AF strategy of spreading its assets across multiple bases for operational flexibility now.

Why don't you wait a few weeks and you will find out what Trump thinks about this? I'm sure he and his advisors have a better grip on that than you.

Trump already tried to remove all US troops from Syria but was disobeyed by his own generals.

You my man, don't know what Trump wants to do. The world is a different place than it was when he was disobeyed by his generals. And Trump now gets security briefings. So he knows what is going on in Syria which happens to be the southern flank of the Russian sphere and western flank of the Iranian sphere.
Trump wisely is not saying much now about the goings on in the world.

A plane so ugly it is beautiful.

That said, why the hell are we doing anything in Syria?

This is about bolstering the AQ attack out of Idlib.

We’re fighting against the Syrian government here so they’re forced to divided their forces.

I thought the SDF was mostly the Kurds in the North East of Syria who will most likely be the odd man out if Turkey backed HTS (ISIS-Light) gains control. Elements of the HTS and SDF have clashed.

The Iranian weapons pipeline to Hezbollah will be shut down if the Assad regime is ousted which makes tempering Israel easier.

It also limits Iran's and Russia's influence in the region.

You WANT to be Al-Queda's air force? Because that's what we are in Syria. Proud?

The US, once again, trying to unseat a Russia friendly gov't. C I A won't stop until they've flipped every valuable country over to the Marxist lifestyle.
